    Hi and thanks for a great theme – bought it multiple times!

    I have a strange problem that I haven’t been able to find an answer to on Google.
    Although all spaces are typed in correctly in the backend, some spaces (not paragraphs) between words in a sentence in the headings on my company website sometimes visually disappear – but not in the ‘code’ if you e.g. copy and paste the text.

    This is the case for everyone in the company using the site. It should be mentioned we all use various Macbooks, and we tested that the issue remains the same in both Safari, Chrome and Firefox.

    Do you have any idea what the issue could be?

    All the best,

    Mark

    Hey markbenfeldt,

    Looks correct to me in Chrome on a Mac or is it not correct? Can you please explain a bit more?

    Best regards,
    Victoria

    Hi,

    I can’t reproduce the problem on my end either using Chrome on Mac, did you try to clear the cache and reload the page on the computer where it looks wrong?

    Best regards,

    I’ve updated the mediavillage-link so you can see my co-workers issue – it look a bit different, but still some spaces are missing.
    I have the recent MacBook Pro (13-inch, Late 2016, Two Thunderbolt 3 ports) – and she has an older version. But both completely updated OS.
    Another co-worker has a MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013) without any problems.

    We tried changing the font, and that solved the issue. But we like to keep the Lato-font.

    Could it be related to our quick CSS?

    body {
    font-size: 16px;
    font-weight: 230;
    }
    .main-title a {
    color: #b01e23 !important;
    font-size: 14px !important;
    }
    .title_container {
    margin-top: -12px;
    margin-bottom: -12px;
    }
    h1 {
    text-transform: none !important;
    font-weight: bold !important;
    letter-spacing: -0.15px !important;
    }
    h2 {
    text-transform: none !important;
    font-weight: 200 !important;
    letter-spacing: -0.50px !important;
    }
    h3 {
    text-transform: none !important;
    font-weight: 200 !important;
    letter-spacing: 0.00px;
    }
    .widgettitle {
    text-transform: none !important;
    font-weight: 200 !important;
    letter-spacing: -0.00px !important;
    }
    .main_menu ul:first-child > li > a {
    font-weight: 300
    }
    .main_menu .menu li ul a {
    font-weight: 200;
    }
    .iconbox .iconbox_content .iconbox_content_title {
    letter-spacing: -0.80px;
    }
    .title_container .main-title {
    font-size: 24px;
    font-weight: bold;
    letter-spacing: 0.20px;
    }
    .side-container-comment-inner { display: none; }
    .special_amp {
    font-family: inherit;
    font-style: normal;
    font-size: inherit;
    line-height: inherit;
    font-weight: inherit;
    color: inherit!important;
    }

    Hi markbenfeldt,

    Could it be some regional browser and/or OS settings at play here?

    Best regards,
    Victoria

    Hi Enfold support,

    This issue still remains: We have the latest update of Enfold (4.4.1)
    When we change the font to Open Sans that solves the issue. But we would really like to keep the Lato-font.

    We are pretty clueless to what the problem can be – how the site is reading fonts, are our best guess. – What kind of regional browser and/or OS settings are you thinking of, if we should test something?

    All the best,
    Mark

    First of all : what should a font-weight of 230 do?
    where do you get the 200 font-weight?
    i only can see 100, 300, 400, 700, 900

    Hi Guenni,
    Just tried your tip, thanks – didn’t work, unfortunately :-/

    Screenshots of the problem: http://mediavillage.dk/error/
    And e.g. see this subpage, as one example on where we encounter the problem: http://kempkjaer.dk/services/ (… In the two headings “MedPR” should be “Med PR” and “issuehåndteringog” should be “issuehåndtering og”)

    i edited the thread because i see in your css some strange things:

    by the way on my Mac newest OSX and Safari / Safari Technology Preview / Chrome / Firefox all is ok with your Headings

    #987773

    maybe you try to enter on css not the phrases : thin, lighter, light, bold etc. Instead use 100, 300, 400, 700 etc
    do not use 200 as font-weight – because it is not defined
    how did you activate/load the font ?
    Enfold list only loads : 'Lato' => 'Lato:300,400,700',
