Hello
I would like to change my theme, Enfold Lifestyle and use the new theme Enfold 2017.
I guess there is a plug-in to make this change easily, WordPress reset, but it’s not uptaded for 2 years.
Could you advice me fort the best way, or plug-in, to change my theme ?Thanks for your help
November 9, 2017 at 2:58 pm #874673Hey sandra1307,
Did you try to import it in the theme options under Demo Import?
Best regards,
RikardNovember 9, 2017 at 3:32 pm #874706I thought it was better to remove the theme with a plug-in and import the new theme after. Then I did’nt import yet the new demo “enfold 2017”
Could you explain me the best way to install a new theme ?
Thanks for your help
November 10, 2017 at 9:47 am #875072Hi,
I think you are confusing theme and demo; Enfold is the theme and Enfold 2017 is a demo. If you want to import a new demo then you can simply import it under Demo Import in the theme options.

RikardNovember 10, 2017 at 10:56 am #875100Oh sorry for the confusion.
But if I want to install a new demo, Enfold says :Notez : si vous voulez supprimer complètement une installation de démonstration après l’importation, vous pouvez utiliser une extension comme WordPress Reset
Is a plug-in necessary to install a new demo.
I’m very anxious for bugs, conflicts or to loose all my presentationThanks for your help

No, the WordPress Reset plugin will clean the database and you will lose whatever created on top of the previous demo.

I’m not sure to understand :
If I install a new demo, I will loose all my job, the “shape” of my creations ?If I want to install a new demo, is it better to install WordPress Reset or not worth to install this plug-in, only install the new demo ?
Thanks for your help
November 14, 2017 at 6:37 am #876454Hi,
If you run WordPress Reset then your whole installation will be wiped out, I’m guessing that is something you do not want to do.
Installing a new demo will change your theme settings, but you will still have all your content left.

RikardNovember 15, 2017 at 5:36 pm #877170Thank you.
I’ve installed the new demo, the first time it didn’t work, the second, it seems to be ok. How can I be sure all the items have been well set ?
Thanks for your help
November 16, 2017 at 7:35 pm #877692Hi sandra1307,
You need to check if the items were set, going through the pages.
Best regards,
VictoriaNovember 17, 2017 at 11:17 am #878015Yes the pages, articles are set, with medias.
If there are several items, it means all the items are set too ?November 17, 2017 at 4:58 pm #878193Hi sandra1307,
You could assume that, but it is not a guarantee. Is it something specific that you want to check?
Best regards,
VictoriaNovember 20, 2017 at 10:37 am #879020Nothing especially to check.
And If I install the demo again ? Is it a guarantee everything is ok ?November 21, 2017 at 7:35 am #879529Hi,
There are never any guarantees for anything really, that’s why you should back up your site prior to doing any major changes to it.
Best regards,
RikardNovember 21, 2017 at 10:19 am #879605Done before the demo’s change.
