Hi,
I just updated (3 days ago) Enfold to the latest version, however, ti caused 2 things to happen to my live business site. I didn’t know until a customer emailed me this evening.
1. My mobile background has completely gone to a very light grey almost transparent – it nobody can see the menu items. I have enclosed a screenshot.
2. The update left some very strange markings on the theme functions panel.

October 24, 2017 at 9:35 am #868031Hey Vincent,
Have you flushed the cache after the update?
Here is the code you can put in Enfold > General Styling > Quick Css, if it does not work, put into themes/enfold/css/custom.css.html_av-overlay-side .av-burger-overlay-bg { opacity: 0.8; } .header_color .sub_menu>ul>li>a, .header_color .sub_menu>div>ul>li>a, .header_color .main_menu ul:first-child > li > a, #top .header_color .main_menu .menu ul .current_page_item > a, #top .header_color .main_menu .menu ul .current-menu-item > a, #top .header_color .sub_menu li ul a { color: #ccc; }
If you need further assistance please let us know.
Best regards,
VictoriaOctober 24, 2017 at 12:33 pm #868150Hi Victoria,
BTW this is for the mobile menu only as per my first post above.
Thank you for your response, in answer, yes I did flush the cache – in actual fact several times using a web cache plugin – WP Fastest Cache. However, that made no difference.Adding your code and make a tweak to colour: #fff gave me white text on black background. How would get this to a white background with dark grey text? I tried but it then goes grey again. It also ruined the look of the desktop version menu – I had to remove the code in the end.
Before the update, my mobile menu background was: white with dark grey text (like desktop colour) and menu items already expanded. After the update all menu is broken with items missing.
The case of the strange markings are still there, can someone please address this:

October 25, 2017 at 7:19 am #868566Hi,
Thanks for the login details. I’m not sure what you have done but the backend looks like it’s not updated to the version your parent theme is displaying. Changing the name of the parent theme can cause problems, did you update the theme manually? Maybe you could try to rename the parent/child to Enfold/Enfold Child?

RikardOctober 25, 2017 at 7:23 am #868567Hi,
A general note on updates as well: if your site is important to you, then you should perform all types of updates on a staging version of the site first. Otherwise you will continue to run into things like these. I would also advise that you perform Visual Regression Testing on the site to detect changes, as it was obviously missed after this update. If you should need such help then I would recommend you contact a service like SteadyWP.

RikardOctober 25, 2017 at 1:51 pm #868718Hi Rikard,
I have not changed the name, I had named it that the first time and it was fine until this update. BTW I agree about staging site.
Are you saying that there is nothing that can be done about the mobile menu without contacting a 3rd party? Is there anyone else here that can help with my mobile menu. The problem happened on an update and I have updated this theme multiple times with no issues. It now appears as if it is affecting the homepage only on mobile.
I have fixed the issue with the strange markings appearing.

October 26, 2017 at 7:55 am #869109Hi,
No, absolutely not. I recommended the third party service in case you should need help with creating a staging site and checking the site status on updates, we will help you out with your problems of course. I logged in just now but it seems like you have removed the admin status from the account, so I can’t see much on your installation.
We released a new version of the theme yesterday (4.2), not sure if you are running that? If not then please try updating again, hopefully that should resolve your issues.
Best regards,
