1)On the slider, I see some kind of shadow line of some sort.
Is it possible to get rid of?
See example.

2) Is it possible to add a custom font to the template, that is not a google font?

Please try the following in Quick CSS under Enfold->General Styling:
```
.home #layer_slider_1 {
  box-shadow:none !important;
}
```
