Hi,
I have problems with the API key. I generated new API key with Javascript enabled, but still I get an error. Console says “[Warning] Google Maps API warning: RetiredVersion https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages#retired-version (util.js, line 216)”
Key has no restrictions yet.Backend details in private field. Please help :)

John TorvikSeptember 29, 2017 at 8:08 am #858338Hi John,
I know this article already and trust me, I followed all the steps. Now, since I was trying to get help in some other thread already, it’d be really nice If you could take a look, please? I tried to find out myself what could be the reason, generated new API keys and so on, but it keeps saying the same error…September 29, 2017 at 8:18 am #858342It says retired version – google explains that there has to be version 3.25 in my script element. But I have no idea what kind of script that would be, where to find it and how to change it…

Thanks for the feedback, I wanted to check your site but it’s not loading on my end. Maybe there’s a typo in the URL?

October 1, 2017 at 6:04 pm #858943Hi,
I added this code to your Enfold Theme Options > Google Analytics Tracking Code box, with your map api.<script src="https://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/js?libraries=places&key=your_api_key_here"></script>
You now are not getting the RetiredVersion error, but your map still needs an address to work.

MikeOctober 2, 2017 at 9:05 am #859144Dear Mike,
Thank you, but I cannot even add an address, since I get an error (Google changed a the way they offer their services… needs a valid API key….) as soon as I am trying to get coordinates or save the adress in Backend. I generated new API key twice, but still the same error…October 2, 2017 at 9:04 pm #859367Hi,
Can you show us a screenshot from your Google Console please, so we can check how you are doing your domain?

Is that what you need to see?

KatrinOctober 5, 2017 at 8:15 pm #860741Hi,
Yes.
As you can see you have added no domain there, so the google API can not connect.Best regards,
BasilisOctober 9, 2017 at 9:30 am #861791Dear Basilis,
Look, the domain is added in the restrictions section in order to avoid any other domain to use your API Key but has nothing to do with the API to connect. I already tried all these and I have other websites that work without the restrictions area. Adding a domain here does not solve the problem. Or am I getting something wrong here?! Are we talking about two different things? Sorry to say guys, but it’s been two weeks now, and so far it took one to three days for you to give advice that does not solve my problem. I have an appointment with my client wednesday this week and I need to present a site that is working. Is there any chance you can really help me out with this or no? This is the 4th time I bought this template. Never before did a “problem” take this long… Please advice.
Best regards,
