    A couple of years ago I had a developer put together my web site. Several people have recommended that I make any coding changes to a child theme. So I downloaded the Enfold child theme. The resulting site does not look the same. I know that I have made change to functions.php. Do I just copy this file over to the child theme? What other files should I copy over?

    It all depends on what changes were made and in which files. Can you tell us a bit more?

    it now seems that everything of consequence is in the theme settings. The one exception is function.php. Do I create this file in the child theme with only the changes to that were made?

    Hi,

    Do you know what changes you have made? If so, you only need to transfer the things added by you. The child themes only job is to override the parent. Also, did you export the theme settings from the parent and import them into the child? You can do that under Enfold->Import/Export.
