Now when I try and translate the pages, I only get the Heading title, the content seem to be missing. The pagebuilder is not displaying.

Can someone please have a look at this?

    Hi,

Thank you for using our theme.

Try to disable all plugins except WPML Base plugin and check, if it works. Then enable one plugin after the other.

    Could be a plugin conflict.

Let us know, if this helped.

    Best regards,
    Günter

    Hi,

    Thank you for coming back.

After long testing I found that this is caused by a bug in Yoast SEO plugin.

I deactivated it, deleted all translations, cleared WP Rocket cache ( !!!! very important !!!!) and now you can translate the pages.

Also it is not a theme related problem (you can swith to a standard WP theme and translating will break after enabling Yoast) I found the bugs.

You have to update 3 files:

    plugins\wordpress-seo\admin\links\class-link-column-count.php

    https://pastebin.com/AMhC0jbv

    plugins\wordpress-seo\admin\class-meta-storage.php

    https://pastebin.com/gqpBN6xh

    plugins\wordpress-seo\admin\links\class-link-query.php

    https://pastebin.com/y904iQBP

Please replace the complete content of these files with the RAW paste content.

The links are valid for one month.

Make sure to make a copy of the original file to have a fallback and that you are using Enfold 4.1.2.

If you have problem we can do the updates for you, please give us FTP access to your server.

    Best regards,
    Günter

    Hi,

Yoast SEO plugin just released an update. Please upgrade to version 5.4.1

This should solve the problems, only

    plugins\wordpress-seo\admin\links\class-link-query.php

was not fixed by Yoast yet, so please update this file with

    https://pastebin.com/CgzSJyMF

    Best regards,
    Günter

I have updated the Yoast plugin and I still don’t see the page builder section.

    #854772

If you look at the pages, the about page has the page builder but if you look at the HOME page (Front page) There is no page builder. Can you have a look at that please?

    #854795

    Hi,

    Thanks for coming back.

I activated Yoast again and cleared the cache.

For page Allergic Reactions & Symptoms the builder is showing on the translation page.

I think, it must have something to do with the elements on the homepage.

Can you please enable the ALB debug mode http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/enable-advanced-layout-builder-debug/ so I can copy the shortcodes to my local install and check with a debugger?

Can you try to open all the other pages also and check, if this problem occurs on other pages also or only on this one?

    Thanks for your assistance.

    Best regards,
    Günter

    Hi There

I have done as you requested and also pasted the code in the private area for you. Sorry for my delayed reply as I had to step out of office for 3 days.

    #855967

There are a lot of pages, more than half of all the pages that have the same issue as the home page. Just as an update.

    Hi,

Please remove the AR translation then go back to the EN version. Use “Duplicate” instead of “Translate”. It’s not working correctly because of the “WPML Translation Management” extension. ( see private field )

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    #856317

So are you saying that there is a problem with the “WPML Translation Management” extension?

    #856351

    Hey!

There’s nothing wrong with the extension but it’s not compatible with the advance layout builder. It will work correctly on pages built with the default editor.

    Cheers!
    Ismael

Sorry I am confused now. It was working for me on a previous site perfectly fine. Can you please explain to me what you mean. How does it work on some pages and not on others? I am using advanced layout builder on all my pages…

What is the solution here please? I thought you are compatible with WPML?

    #856363

    Hi There

I have tried your method on the folloring page (Shared in the private area)
But I still only get the heading. There is no page buider there. Can you please have a look?

    #856380

Just as a further update. I have de-activated the YOAST plugin and then tried your method again, and still no joy.

    #856389

Ok this is getting really interesting. After I de-activated Yoast SEO plugin and….

    1. Deleted all Arabic pages (Second language pages)
    2. Cleared the cache
    3. Then followed your steps layed out earlier by duplicating the content in stead of translating from scratch
    4. This seemed to have worked. So it is safe to say that i recon Yoast is causing this issue.

    #856405

Tried it with the following page and its not working…

    #856429

After also talking to the guys at WPML, they gave me some more steps to follow. This works for all pages.

    1) Go to translation and mark it as 100% translate.
    2) Now go to default language and make some changes and click on update
    3) Now go again to edit your translation, now you will see the fields showing up

This worked so far with all pages.

But this should not be the final solution.

    #856781

    Hi,

I thought you are compatible with WPML?

    I was referring to the “W P M L Translation Management” extension not the actual W P M L plugin. Yes, the theme is compatible with W P M L.

So it is safe to say that i recon Yoast is causing this issue.

I’ve created the duplicate of the test page with the Yoast plugin activated so there’s no problem with the plugin.

But this should not be the final solution.

I’m not sure what you’re expecting with the plugin. That is how the pages are translated normally.

    Best regards,
    Ismael
