This is a notification of what I think may be a bug.
I’m creating a new site and running version 4.1.2
I’ve installed the Demo “Medical.”
I’m using a Child Theme, but as of yet there is nothing in the style.css for the Child Theme. There is nothing in the Quick CSS of the General Styling section.
When trying to apply a Google API key – under Enfold Child > Google Service > Google Maps – an error message comes up…
“Could not connect to Mailchimp with this API Key. Please try again with a different key”
If I leave that section, then go back to Google Services, the error reads …
“Could not connect to Google Maps with this API Key.”
But the map is working.
In the Chrome Console I’m getting the following error on the page load… (see the Private Content section)
September 19, 2017 at 11:12 am #853792Hey spidercreations,
Thank you for using our theme.
The retired version warning does not affect the functionality of google maps, but with the next update we modified this element so it will be easier for users to update the version number so this warning can be avoided.
Please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend to check the API key message in the Google Section.
- Install and activate ” Temporary Login Without Password “.
- Go to ” Users > Temporary Logins ” on the left-side menu.
- Click ” Create New “.
- Add the email address for the account ( you can use wordpress@kriesi.at ), as well as the ” Role ” making that the highest possible and the expiry about four days
( do be sure that we have enough time to debug ). - Click ” Submit “.
- You’ll now have a temporary account. Please provide us here in the private section the URL, so we can login and help you out.
When your issue is fixed, you can always remove the plugin!
If you prefer to not use the plugin, you can manually create a admin user and post the login credentials in the “private data” field.Best regards,
GünterSeptember 19, 2017 at 2:05 pm #853849As noted, I got everything to work properly, so I’m all set. I just wanted you to be aware of the issue.
Since you noted “The retired version warning does not affect the functionality of google maps, but with the next update we modified this element so it will be easier for users to update the version number so this warning can be avoided.”
I’m fine with that, as the next update of Enfold will include the fix.
Thank you,
