Hi
I know this topic has been discussed already but the solution is not working for us.
Issue: We have a full screen slider on the start page and this is not scaling on mobile. I read that we have to
turn on Custom CSS Class field for all ALB Elements by adding “add_theme_support(‘avia_template_builder_custom_css’);” Afterwards in the custom CSS we can enable/disable desktop and mobile. The issue is that already by changing the custom CSS we receive an error message “Fatal error …. ”
We want to add to the START page.
Can help updating the functions.php and advice what are the next steps to show an alternative image for mobile?
Thanks,

The new version of Enfold has screen options to hide element for different screen sizes

Thanks, could you pls give me a hint where I find this color section. Is it an element within the pages or a config on the theme?
I have version 4.0.7 – would it be in there?

No it’s not available in that version, the latest version is 4.1.2. If you can’t see the update on the backend then you might have to update manually: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
I see that you are not using a child theme, I have to advise you that any changes you make to the theme files will be overwritten on updates. You can learn more about child themes here: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/portfolio-item/create-a-child-theme/
We can add the custom CSS field support for you if you like.

The Update via FTP worked and the new concept of showing / hiding areas on different screens is amazing. Thanks for this.
I also read about the child themes – one thing is, we set up already almost everything (pages, shop etc) As I understand, child themes should be set up at the beginning as it will be like “empty” pages. So I m worried about redoing all again.
However, we do not plan to change the Enfold template itself – we will implement some forms/code from our “old” page within the standard Enfold page. I guess this type of change will not make any issues with future Enfold updates – correct?
Thanks,

You can set up a child theme almost at any point, but it is common practice to do it at the start of a project yes. Your pages or posts will not be affected by switching to a child theme, the only thing you have to think of is if you have made any changes to any of theme core files, like .php or .css files located on the server or if you have changed them via the editor in WordPress.
If you should need further help with setting up a child theme then let us know.

Ok understand – then of course it would be a good idea to work with child themes. I did not make any changes in the core files. Only one small change in the functions.php to show a different logo on mobile – but this I can redo.
Would it be possible that someone from your side could set-up the child them for us?
Thanks,
