Hi there,
I want to display my blog as a custom page rather than the provided blog layouts. I have created a page called Blog with my header, sidebar and Blog Posts element, following the below instructions that I’ve pulled from this forum:
Please go to Enfold theme options > Blog Layout and choose “Use the advance layout editor to build your own blog layout (simply edit the page you have chosen in Enfold->Theme Options as a blog page)” as Blog Style and then choose your blog page in Enfold theme options “And where do you want to display the Blog?”. With these options, you can create your blog page using Advanced Layout Builder.
So I did all of the above and the Blog is STILL showing up as a category page, displaying my default blog category (called “blog”) but no other posts with different categories (eg. my posts under a Recipes category). I have played around with the settings, cleared the website cache, cleared my browser cache, over and over again and it is STILL not showing my Blog page with the Advanced Layout Editor layout I built.
I just updated the theme version as well and nothing. I think we have a little bug here! Login creditentials provided privately.

I think the problem is that the page and the category are using the same slug, namely “blog”. Why do you need a category called blog on your blog?
Best regards,
RikardSeptember 11, 2017 at 11:46 pm #850711It now seems so silly! I have the category “Blog” because that’s what we want the main category to be. Otherwise we have to call it “articles” or “news” which sometimes sounds weird, depending on the situation. Renaming the category did work, but maybe some day there will be a better workaround?
Thanks!
