Hi,
first thank you for this great template. Love it!
However i have some troubles with displaying the sidebar at the position i want. See Screenshot – this is what i want to display:
https://ibb.co/ngT9Z5In case i use the color section – the sidebar gets pushed down. If i use a 1/1 container, the width is not the full container width. (see screenshot https://ibb.co/jV8XnQ)
I searched the forum but could not come up with a solution. maybe you can help.
Thanks!
MarcoAugust 31, 2017 at 11:47 am #846181Hi,
Adding the sidebar will basically split the page into two columns with widths set in your options.
The 1/1 element spans its container 100%. So in your example it is doing what it should. It is spanning the left column 100%Have you though about creating the layout as per your first image and using the widget element to add in a menu rather than using a sidebar?
Hope that helps a little

August 31, 2017 at 1:43 pm #846237Hi,
thanks for your quick response. I actually tried this before, but this means you need to create a lot of additional menus and also keep them up to date. Further you need to add the widget element to every single page. For 40+ Pages not really a convenient option.
So i understand that there is no solution using enfolds functions? or is there some other workaround maybe…

When using full width element like Color Sections the sidebar will be displayed underneath it as soon as a none full width element is present. You will have to use an element like a 1/1 if you want the sidebar to be displayed inline with the element in question.

thank you for your help – i understand however this is not a solution to the problem.
So i guess using the widget element is the only solution possible?Marco
September 4, 2017 at 2:20 pm #847731Hi Marco,
Thanks for the feedback. That is the way the theme works by default unfortunately, though I’m not sure why you have to use a Color Section? It should work if the last item in your screenshot is the footer. Though even if it not and you had a layout the way you want, and let’s say you repeat the section with the sidebar on the right, how would the theme know what sidebar to put in the second sidebar? I think you can see how quickly it becomes very complicated.
Best regards,
