Unable to update from 4.0.7 to 4.1.2

Hi there,

Loving the Enfold theme here.
However, I have had trouble updating from 4.0.7 to anything newer

on the Enfold Theme Options page, I went to the Theme Update tab, click on Update Now (i have the correct themeforest username and API key)
modal pops up asking me if i want to update, I click yes Update Theme

then it goes into update mode and even after an hour of wait, i come back to it, it says at the very top of admin panel
“An automated WordPress update has failed to complete – please attempt the update again now.”

Please help. Thank you.
