Image is not being shown full width

Hello I am having a trouble with the site. I have a color section and added an image with a link. However not matter what the image is not shown at full width. I created the image with the exact maximum container width that i imputed which is 1410px. Now I know that I can put the image as the background in the color section itself, but the problem with that is that i want the entire image to be a link. Can you please tell me what I have to do in order to make the image in the container completely full or can you tell me how to add a link into the background image of a color section.
