Dear Support,
I have noticed recently, that the ‘image with hotspots’ does not work when using default WordPress editor. With Advanced Layout Editor all is fine … just the problem is I cannot use it because one of the plugin I am using does not work with Advanced Layout Editor. How to make the ‘image with hotspots’ work with default WordPress editor?

Try to enable Avia Layout Builder Debugger: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/enable-advanced-layout-builder-debug/ copy the image with hotspot shortcode generated and paste it on the wordpress default editor. Hope this helps :)

NikkoAugust 24, 2017 at 5:56 pm #843627Dear Nikko,
When I am switching from the WordPress default editor to the Advanced Layout Editor and back again to WordPress default editor I lose my post content, so I would prefer not to use the “hack” you have proposed.Enfold is not free nor open source but commercial product. From such product I would expect that all advertised features work correctly as stated on the Enfold web page. There is no information that some short codes do not work with default editor. I have bought Enfold to have things working “out of the box” and not spent time for finding workarounds and debugging the product for which I have paid …
Can you please have a look at the global solution?
Thank you for your help.

MDAugust 24, 2017 at 8:37 pm #843681Hi MD,
The only way to use Avia Layout Builder elements in default wordpress editor is via shortcode only, that’s why Avia Layout Editor is there so it can be easier to just drag and drop the elements you want to use, but since you want to use the default editor you would really need to use the shortcode. You don’t need to switch and lose contents on your existing page, just create a new page, put the image hotspot and set it, follow the instructions in the link, copy the shortcode generated there and paste it on your existing page.

Thank you for your suggestions and help. I have noticed that more widgets have similar problemshttps://kriesi.at/support/topic/shortcodes-not-fully-working-with-default-wordpress-editor/
What you propose are workarounds but not real fixes. Probably all those “not working properly widgets” are facing similar issue. Would it be possible for Enfold team to have a deeper look at it and look for the solution?
