Tagged: social share buttons
Hi there,
We are using the Advanced layout Editor for our Woocommerce product detail pages and have placed the social media share element below the main image for each product. see example https://deliciousontap.co.uk/product/oils/infused-olive-oils/basil-infused-olive-oil/
However, the most frustrating thing is that when using Yoast and editing the Snippet Meta data it is auto picking up the text from those Social Share Buttons as text for the product. So at the beginning of the Meta Description shows Share as Facebook Share as Twitter Share as Pinterest Share as LinkedIn before anything else (Screenshot in Pvt Content.)
Is there any way to avoid these buttons getting read as text? Or is this something we need to report to Yoast?
Hey Craig,
That is not something we can help I am afraid.
Please contact the Yoast Support, so they can help you out.
Thank you very much
Best regards,
Basilis
