Hi.
I am fairly new to wordpress and have been trying to follow the previous articles around this same topic. However, what is eluding me is finding the menu item ID by inspecting the element. I am only seeing reference to the page-item ID and not menu-item ID for the menu link I am trying to change. What am I missing here?

I am still not seeing any reference to “li id=menu-item-xxxx” . The reference I see to the menu item in question is li class =”page_item page-item-327″ . No reference to menu-item in the entire inspector window. Should I have created a main menu from within the Appearance area on the Dashboard?

Usually, the Main Menu is created from Appearance >Menus, yes. The menu-item ID should be in the same line as the page-item class.
Would you mind providing a precise link to your site, showing the elements in question, so that we can take a look?
Best regards,

I got it to work. Recreated the menu from Appearance>Menus and got a menu-item ID for the page-item class. For some reason the first time I created the menu it did not work.
I have a follow up question. How do I keep the border and text of the said menu item the same as the “Transparency menu color” when using a transparent header on a page?

Great, glad you got your first problem solved. For you other one, could you post a link to the page in question so that we can have a closer look please?
Best regards,

I am currently developing the site on my local system. Are there any other options to facilitate your request?
