There have been multiple threads about the mega menu not working properly on mobile / tablet. In my case, one of my mega menus isn’t opening a sub menu. This is a big deal for my site and the “#” workaround does not work for me.

Is a patch coming soon? I can’t wait much longer to fix this. It’s a big deal that users can’t access these pages.

    Thanks
    Rob

    Hi!

I could not reproduce the issue on my iphone and since i do not own an actual tablet, i will ask my teammates to check your website. Please kindly wait to hear from them :)

    Best regards,
    Yigit

Hey! It reproduces on iPhone. Under the marin county menu header try to click on marin county overview on your iPhone. Won’t go there. Also the workaround requires three menu levels. I want marin county to go to one menu level down not two. So marin county to the town names with marin county overview being same level as town name.

    Does that make sense? Thanks!

And what happens when you click on marin county overview? It is supposed to go to a page…..

    #831532

(on our iphones it doesn’t, Marin County Overview just serves as a non clickable submenu header…. I need it to be clickable too….and ideally it’s not a header, just a sub menu item under “Marin County” the way it was before 4.1….) Thanks!

Yigit on your screenshot, it shows the “Marin County Overview” as a title menu for the sub menus below it (the town names) but I am not able to navigate to “marin county overview” which is a page. Are you able to get to “Marin County Overview” from the mobile menu?

    Thanks!

    Hi Rob,

Sorry i thought i replied to this thread however it seems like somehow my post did not make it.

Yes, i can see what you mean now however i think it will be confusing for your mobile visitors. It was reported to our devs.
How you would like it to work?

    Best regards,

Hi Yigit, thanks for circling back!

I would like it to work as it did for years before this latest update, and the way it still works on desktop which is:

    “Top Level Menu — > 13 sub-items”

So for this menu… “Marin County” (top) would open to show the 14 submenu items (Marin County Overview + the Marin towns)

Really need for this to work again, thanks for your help.

    Best

    Hi Rob,

For the time being, cloning title menu item seems to be the only workaround i am afraid – http://i.imgur.com/YJXIIhn.png :/

    Hi Yigit,
Thanks for trying. Do you know why this mega menu isn’t working while others work? I’m ok with just a two-level menu, top level title and then 13 sub items. Does the new mega menu not support that number of sub items?

    Looking forward to 4.1.3………. :/

    Thanks, Rob

Wanted to note that I am experiencing the same issue with a submenu. It worked perfectly before the most recent update – however, now clicking the top level menu item on the mobile menu does not show the submenu as before… now nothing happens I changed my menu options so that the submenu is always visible – that is the only way I could make it work. It’s not the function I want for my mobile menu, so I’d like to know when to expect a fix.

    Hi,

Kriesi well known the issue and they are working with the team, to push our an update and fix those problems.
We appreciate the patience, until the new version. We do know it is an option to have everything working properly and we are doing our best
to make sure what we push out is perfect.

Thank you very much for any feedback and for reporting all these.

    Best regards,
    Basilis

Thank you Basilis but this has now been WEEKS since this bug was released… to continue to tell us that it is being worked on without any timing is frustrating as a user. I am really concerned that Enfold seems to be a “part time project” for a few people vs. a major priority with a staffed dedicated team like other themes out there. Our theme is falling behind, and I say “our” because those of us who use Enfold love it and remember the days when fixes came in days, not weeks.

(and in other threads, mods are insisting that these issues are user error / configuration & “normal behavior”, so even the mods aren’t on the same page with this one.)

We look forward to the update / fix soon.

    Thank you for listening.

    Hi!

We are trying to explain how the new menu script handles the mega menu columns. The empty mega menu columns in the “Search for Homes” menu item are the main reason why you’re having this issue. Please edit the empty mega menu columns, replace it with a custom link, add a dash as the title then add the actual menu as a sub menu item. For the “Marin County” menu item, please disable the mega menu option if you’re not planning to add more columns as we explained in the previous thread. If you want the users to have access to the parent menu items on mobile while the sub menu items are hidden, clone the parent menu item.
