Hi,
I have installed enfold and the Enfold-2017-Demo. This was a REAL pain (see here), so I cannot just make a new install.
I created a child theme with an empty style.css (correct header-lines) and an empty functions.php with just the opening php-tag.
I imported the theme-settings with Enfold -> Import/Export -> Import Parent Theme Settings. When I switch to the child theme it should exactly look like the parent theme, but it does not. Please see screenshot linked in private area for visualization.
When I inspect the problematic elements it seems that their styling comes from
http://……/wp-content/uploads/dynamic_avia/enfold_child.css?ver=597202444e20eI don’t know how to change this. Is there any idea how to fix this?
Thanks

Could you try copying the CSS to Quick CSS instead to see if that helps?
Best regards,
RikardJuly 22, 2017 at 9:13 pm #828467Hi Rikard,
I’m not sure if I understand what you mean – I tried copying the css (see link to css in private area attached) into the Quick-CSS-field; some things get fixed, some not. I guess that the problematic elements are located in different css-files.
July 25, 2017 at 8:12 am #829407Hi,
Can you try to use the child theme that you can download here: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/using-a-child-theme/ and also follow the instructions, that should fix the problem.
Best regards,
NikkoJuly 25, 2017 at 8:39 am #829448Hi Nikko,
thanks, I tried this, but this changed nothing. I did “import parent settings” also.
When you look at my site at the footer you see the differences immediately.

August 23, 2017 at 11:55 am #842979Hi,
I used wp reset to reset the the database like new install, and tried to import the demo however I get this in the console:
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 500 (Internal Server Error)
Can you try to give us ftp access also?

August 25, 2017 at 9:21 pm #844171Hi,
Thanks for your patience, it should be looking like the parent theme now with the child theme used/selected :) Let us know if you need more assistance.

NikkoAugust 28, 2017 at 11:17 am #844754Thanks, Nikko – but as far as I can see the footer still is not working correctly?
August 28, 2017 at 6:23 pm #844949Hi,
Can you elaborate more on the footer not working correctly? is it not the right widgets? if that’s the problem you can just add the widgets.
Best regards,
NikkoSeptember 5, 2017 at 1:46 pm #848110Hi Nikko,
please have a look at the screenshot (attached in private area).
I expected the demo-import to look exactly like the demo I get online ( http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold-2017/ ), so I am confused that it looks different.September 6, 2017 at 10:57 am #848534Hi,
Yes, I also don’t get the 4 columns in the footer when I imported but it’s okay since it’s just some text widget that I can easily add. I have modified it and it should look the same as the demo, you can find it in Appearance > Widgets.

NikkoSeptember 6, 2017 at 7:11 pm #848810Ah ok – thanks, Nikko!
