I am starting to experiment with the much-anticipated Horizontal Gallery element (thank you!) and have a question about lightbox linking.
I have set “Lightbox Linking” to “active” and I would expect an image then to launch the lightbox when it is clicked. However this setting just enables a rectangle in the bottom right of the photo that you can then click and go to Lightbox which seems like an unnecessary extra step.
When we make Lightbox linking active on Masonry the images expand to Lightbox like on the Masonry Gallery on this page:

Am I missing something? Is there a way that when we enable Lightbox Linking on the Horizontal Gallery element that it launches lightbox when user clicks on photo?
Thanks!
Rob
Hey Rob,
This is the intended behavior. You are not missing anything. The thing is, when you click on arrows and the setting set to enlarge image, you don’t really need the lightbox, but you still have it if you click on the the button in the corner.
So you can play with the settings and maybe you find what is the best fit for you.
If you need further assistance please let us know.
Best regards,
Victoria
Got it, thanks. If you can pass along to the developers, it would be great if in the future the lightbox would let you click on the photo and then launch lightbox like it does it Masonry.
Thanks again
Rob
