I recently switched to use Sucuri’s service and add a proxy SSL. For some reason, when I force full https mode, the site redirects to the main domain on my shared hosting service. I have worked with both my host and sucuri to diagnose the issue to no avail. The only thing that I have been given is the mixed content error. Is this anything within the theme?

The site is thebwlive.com, but is in partial https so there won’t be a redirect. I would like to know if there is anything I need to do on the theme side when add SSL.

    Thanks!

    Hey dbarnby13,
I’m not familiar with Sucuri, but I can help with your mixed content, in this case it’s your logo, try going to Enfold Theme Options and remove your logo and add again making sure to use the https in the url. See Private Content area four your current logo url.
This plugin is very good at correcting these issues and forcing https: https://wordpress.org/plugins/really-simple-ssl/
But that is if you have a SSL, I’m not sure about the proxy SSL.

    Best regards,

I tried that plugin and it broke that site.I had to delete it from cPanel. Thanks for the info.

It worked on all of the other sites I migrated though.

    Hi,
How did it brake your site?
You had to delete it from cPanel? Do you mean from the WP admin panel?
Were you able to fix the logo by making sure to use the https in the url?

    Best regards,
    Mike

Due to the DNS configuration, it wouldn’t allow the https to be forced.

I deleted it from the File Manager from my cPanel as I couldn’t login to my site.

I haven’t been able to fix the logo yet.My main focuse is getting my sites away from HostGator and on AWS. I have 6 using the enfold theme, and will be adding 2 more over the next couple of weeks.

    Cheers,

    Hi,
I don’t blame you for leaving HG, some find AWS has a steep learning curve, but it sounds like you’ve got it under control.
    Shall we close this then?

    Best regards,
    Mike
