When I make changes to the footer in Appearance – Widgets, the changes only appear on the Home page. They do not show up on other pages in the web site. This is happening on mobile devices only – tablets and cell phones. The changes do appear on all pages when I’m using my laptop. I have cleared the cache on mobile devices and the changes still do not appear on any web page except the home page. Please advise.
June 27, 2017 at 4:58 pm #813511Hey sparrow777,
Would you mind providing a precise link to your site, showing the elements in question? We need to be able to inspect them in order to help. :)
It would also be best if you can provide us with admin access in the Private Content section of your reply as well, just in case we need to take a closer look.
Best regards,
SarahJune 27, 2017 at 5:39 pm #813539Hi Sarah,
Thank you for responding.
On the home page, I added “Bldg 13” to the address and changed office hours on all 3 days. After clearing cache on laptop and mobile devices the same errors on mobile devices are now showing on laptop. On the “Home” and “About Me” pages all changes were made on laptop and tablet. On the other pages, on all devices some pages show one change but not the other or don’t show any changes.June 29, 2017 at 4:09 pm #814563Hello,
When will you folks be responding to my issue? I paid for a year of support and I’m wondering why I haven’t heard from you. Please provide an update.June 29, 2017 at 10:13 pm #814700Hi,
We appreciate for paying for our support and more we appreciate for been part of our team.
In the mean time, the issue is not located to us at all, but only you.
You are seen cached versions for sure, as the updates are happening to WordPress database and they are integrated everywhere, not a specific part only.We hope you understand
Best regards,
BasilisJune 29, 2017 at 11:03 pm #814736Hello, I appreciate your response however, I don’t understand what you wrote as your English is not well written. There is a problem with the Enfold theme and the footer. I would like the author of the Enfold theme to troubleshoot and address this issue and fix it. Please put me in touch with the author of this theme as I paid for this type of support. Yes, I have paid for 1 year of support and I need you to honor your part. You are still responsible to the support contract I paid for. And BTW, Why are you blaming WordPress for this issue?
June 30, 2017 at 4:09 pm #815022Hi sparrow777,
I checked, the changes are there on all pages, they are not on the page in private, but it is on a separate subdomain. Is it a copy website or they use the same database? That has to be checked separately since we don’t know the setup there.
Best regards,
VictoriaJune 30, 2017 at 5:48 pm #815092Hi Victoria,
Thank you for responding. I am grateful. First I do not understand what you mean by “they are not on the page in private. Please explain. Also, I spoke with ipage.com (my web hosting company) and explained what you wrote and they looked at the back end of Word Press and the Enfold theme. The original issues continue to happen. On their computer and mine, yes all the changes in the footer and Articles page show on all pages on a computer. However, they do NOT show up on cell phones and tablets. The footer changes (office hours & “Bldg 13” under address) still do not show up on a cell phone and tablet as well as changes I made to the Articles page . I made a change 2 weeks ago to the Articles (blog) page and changed it to the grid format and added photos. The changes on the Articles page do show on my computer and ipage’s computer but do not show on cell phones and tablets. Ipage confirmed that I do not have a separate subdomain so I do not know what it is you are referring to. Please explain.
Lastly, ipage stated these issues are a “theme” problem and not a WordPress or ipage as they worked on the backend and found no contributing issues that are preventing the footer from updatng to all pages. Please check into this and check my website on a tablet and cell phone to confirm the problems in footer and Aticles page. Remember, the footer changes do show up on the Home page and About me page on all 3 devices…just not on the rest of the pages on cell phones and tablets. Thank you.July 2, 2017 at 12:12 pm #815515Hi,
I believe I have solved the issue of the footer widgets not showing the correct text, “Bldg 13”
I cleared your WP cache, and then mine, and tested all the urls in the Private Content area :)
Please clear your cache and check :)Best regards,
MikeJuly 11, 2017 at 3:50 pm #819460Hi Mike,
I greatly appreciate and thank you for checking and trying to solve the problem. I cleared the cache on laptop, cell, tablet and a 2nd computer. Whatever you did unfortunately did not work. I went back to ipage and they were able to fix everything (or so I think). I don’t know what they did however I suspect it had something to do with a 2nd domain URL that kept showing up and should not have shown up. OR whatever you did Mike eventually worked b/c while I was on the phone with ipage, all the errors were corrected. I was completely stunned. I am very grateful for the efforts you put forth. I waited a while to respond to you to ensure the corrections remained. Thank you very much 😊July 12, 2017 at 5:19 am #819780 -
