I am just wondering if there is something simple I might have missed here?
We have a site in development and prior to going live with this site we set up a staging site to test out all the updates we need to apply.
The staging site was built using a backup of the main site – replaced the wp-content folders (plugins, themes. uploads) in the WP 4.8 core install and imported the main site’s database. The main site is still 4.7.5
When lauching the staging site, some of the theme options are missing – logo is default ‘Enfold’, no social media links, default sidebar is back etc – is there something here that I have inadvertenly not copied across correctly? I recopied the Enfold theme folder just to make sure something wasn’t missed in the upload.
I am sure I can easily re-add these settings but for future reference, I would prefer to know what I might have done wrong.
Cheers,
Neil

Could you go to the Theme options, check if the settings are correct and just press save changes. That should do the trick.
If you need further assistance please let us know.
Best regards,
VictoriaJune 26, 2017 at 1:07 pm #813036Hi Victoria
In the end I just went through and made all the changes manually. None of the theme options that I had set up in the main set transferred across – they had either reverted to a default setting or were blank – so I don’t think that ‘save changes’ would have made any difference.
I did have a look through the wp-options file (I assumed many of the options / settings would be recorded here?) but it did not really help me with the missing elements.
Cheers

June 28, 2017 at 6:10 am #813676Hello! I’m kind of staggered to see that my exact issue was raised just 2 days ago, but here it is! Hope you don’t mind me jumping in littlebookpress :) Only difference for me is that both live and staging sites are on 4.8.
As littlebookpress reports, none of the fields from the theme options (Frontpage Settings, Logo, Favicon, etc) have copied across to their equivalent on my staging site either. If it’s not too fiddly, I’d prefer to copy whichever config files are missing instead of doing the changes manually. Can you suggest something for me to try?
Thanks,
Tom
June 28, 2017 at 7:28 am #813699Hi,
Please access the “staging” site then go to the Enfold > Import/Export panel. Click on the “Export Theme Settings File” to download the theme options then import it back to the “live” site.
Best regards,
