Hi there,
There’re several topics created by other users about the Google Maps API not working properly with Enfold on WordPress 4.8.
Some of the moderators said it has something to do with plugins which are not compatible with Enfold.
In my case everything worked fine until I upgraded my site to WordPress 4.8. From then on I have the problem that the Google Maps shows for 1 second and after that it says “Oops! Something went wrong. Google Maps is not loaded correctly on this page. See the JavaScript console for technical details”.
In the console it says: “Google Maps API error: ExpiredKeyMapError”
I’ve recreated the API key several times, but with no succes.
This problem is happening for over two weeks now and my client are getting impatient.
Don’t get me wrong on this I love Enfold, this is why I use this often for websites of my clients, but not fixing an issue (stated by several users) for over two weeks is not what I expected…
I hope anybody can help me solve this problem.
Best regards,

VictoriaJune 26, 2017 at 10:19 am #812951Hi Victoria,
Thank you for your reply.
In the private content I put this URL, but I’m sure this doesn’t solve my problem. I’m still sure this has something to do with the Enfold template in combination with WordPress 4.8.

June 26, 2017 at 1:48 pm #813055Hi,
They have a different error, but I agree too many issues with Google maps now.

VictoriaJune 26, 2017 at 2:27 pm #813073Hi Victoria,
The website with the Deleted-API-Project-Map-error has been solved. But the other website still keeps giving the ExpiredKeyMapError, even though I just created another key and re-verified the domainname again.
June 28, 2017 at 3:14 pm #813857Hey!
I tried inserting and API key @vinay generated however that still did not work. Are we allowed to de-activate all active plugins for testing purposes?
Cheers!
YigitJune 28, 2017 at 3:55 pm #813908Yeah offcourse I just tried that myself, but it doesn’t solve the problem.
June 29, 2017 at 12:50 pm #814411Hi thewebfanatics,
I don’t see the map on the second website and the error is not there. There is an error with Simple Google Recaptcha though. Can you give me a link to the page with the map?
Best regards,
Victoria -
