I want to use the product picture only on the overview page. On the product detail site the big picture should be an other one. For example from the gallery. Can you please tell me, if this is possible?

It is possible but it would require some customization that is not covered by our support.
Moreover, when your user goes to the product page from catalogue and sees a different picture, there might be a few seconds of confusion, because it’s a different image and the user might think that he or she clicked to the wrong product and might have to go back and double check, if he or she does not prefer to read the product title. So having the same image is helping your customers to work with your website more efficiently.

That can be done, but as Victoria said it needs more customizations.
