Hi – I’m just starting to set up a simple site.
I added a Color Section to the home page and put an image in for the background. I expected the image to stretch and it’s not doing that. What have I missed?
Also, is it possible to have the content in a fixed width and the Color section image stretched?

Thank you for using Enfold!
In the Section Background settings of your Color Section, please set Background Repeat to “Stretch to Fit”.
As for the content, you can put the Text Block into any of the Column elements that Enfold has. Enfold elements are responsive so that they look nice on any device. If you really need it to have a fixed width, you can do that by putting code in the Quick CSS section under Enfold > General Styling. If you need help doing that, please tell us exactly which content you need to change, and into what width, so we can give you accurate code.
Best regards,
SarahMay 25, 2017 at 2:22 pm #799575Thanks, Sarah. I didn’t think of stretching as a type of repeat, but I found it there.
As for the width, I found the setting for Dimensions under General Layout and changed the max container width, so that’s good.
Is there a place that shows the defaults for the text (is that <p>?), and H tags?
I found the Fonts under General Styling, but I’m not sure how to see/change the defaults other than the font for the heading and body text, and just the size for the content.

May 25, 2017 at 3:18 pm #799590Hi!
You can do these in Enfold > Advanced Styling. Pick the element you want to customize. You can also create customization for different areas (logo area, main content, alternate content, footer, socket).
Best regards,
SarahMay 26, 2017 at 4:39 pm #800240Hi Sarah – Thanks. So, there’s no way to tell what the defaults are? How can I now what I want to change? I looked in Appearance/Editor for both the Enfold theme and the child theme and there isn’t anything in either of them for the style.css file.
But, I can change the H tags without knowing how they’re set. Could I put that CSS on the General Styling page rather than the Advanced Styling? Not sure what the difference is between those two.
I’d like to use the socket, but I’d like to center the copyright statement on the width of the display and can I remove the Enfold ad there?
Thanks again! I’ll run out of questions shortly. :-)
May 28, 2017 at 9:02 pm #800883Hi,
To be honest, there is no style guide on what are the elements size etc, but if you edit them from the Advanced Style, u will be able to see what they have there and how that should change.
Best regards,
