Hi
The easy slider images on my website, TrevorJohnston.com have strangely disappeared. Clicking on the image title below any of the portfolio thumbnails brings up a “detail” page for that image. An easy slider in the upper left corner displays (at least it should) close-up details within the main image. At some point recently, those images stopped appearing. Strangely, if I use Inspect Element for the easy slider, the images appear, then disappear again once I move to a different page.May 24, 2017 at 9:24 pm #799175Hey trevorjohnston,
I have checked the page and I can see the slider images. Screenshot in Private Content.
Best regards,
NikkoMay 24, 2017 at 9:32 pm #799182That’s really odd. I’ve tried it in Safari, Chrome and Firefox, on two different computers and am not seeing the slider images. Just checked my Java and it’s current version (not sure if that’s even relevant). Any suggestions?
May 24, 2017 at 10:07 pm #799205Hi,
I have checked it in both chrome and firefox, the 2 images in slider are showing properly (link to the images in private content). Do you have a caching plugin installed? try flushing out the cache on your site and clear the browser cache and your end, I think it’s just caching issue.
Best regards,
NikkoMay 24, 2017 at 10:33 pm #799222Nope, no caching plugins here. I’ve cleared caches repeatedly, in each of the various browsers. Still no love.
I just saw this message across the top of my WP Settings > General window: “Some files appear to be missing or out of place. Please re-install plugin or remove D:\Hosting\7270199\html\wp-content\advanced-cache.php.”
Could that have anything to do with it? If so, any suggestions how to resolve?May 24, 2017 at 11:01 pm #799235Hi,
Yes, I think there are some files left behind if you have used caching plugin before. Try reinstall that caching plugin and flush out the cache, or try to check with the plugins documentation on how to remove the cached files totally.
Best regards,
NikkoMay 24, 2017 at 11:23 pm #799248I was able to manually remove all remnants of the W3 Total Cache plugin and the message no longer appears in the Settings window, BUT… still no luck with the EasySlider images showing up. I am including my FTP access info in case you can see something I have missed. I’m not sure how to “flush out the cache on my site.”
May 25, 2017 at 1:50 pm #799548FYI, I’ve had others check the page and the images are not loading for them either.
May 25, 2017 at 9:00 pm #799791Hi trevorjohnston,
The images don’t show at first, but when I open Chrome dev tools, the images appear. There are two unrelated errors in JavaScript but they might be blocking rendering or animation and so the images don’t appear. One is missing icon font.
Best regards,
VictoriaMay 25, 2017 at 9:06 pm #799798Yes, I’ve noticed the images appear when I “Inspect Element” in Safari as well, but disappear as soon as I change pages and return. How do I install the missing icon font and how do I fix the second Javascript error you mention, whatever that may be? Sorry, you’re not dealing with a web rocket scientist here. ;-)
Thanks,
TrevorMay 25, 2017 at 10:57 pm #799865Hi Trevor,
Can you try adding this css code in Quick CSS (located in Enfold > General Styling):
#top.single-portfolio .avia-slideshow-inner { height: auto !important; }
Let us know if this helps.
Best regards,
NikkoMay 25, 2017 at 11:55 pm #799894Just added the css code. Still not working. Cleared caches too. No luck.

May 28, 2017 at 5:41 am #800712Hi,
What
s your FTP port? Because I tried in the 21 and I couldn
t access.Best regards,
John TorvikMay 28, 2017 at 1:59 pm #800807Hi John. According to GoDaddy it should be 21. Try this access info. Works for me.
May 29, 2017 at 1:28 pm #801073Hi,
Thanks for providing the access. Can you try to check it again? I have activated back Simple Custom CSS plugin and added the code I gave:
#top.single-portfolio .avia-slideshow-inner { height: auto !important; }
since the one you added in Quick CSS, is not reflecting on the css (link to css in private content), it’s still using the cached version even though you don’t have plugins activated, I think it’s godaddy’s cache. Let us know if it’s good on your end :)
Best regards,
NikkoMay 29, 2017 at 2:24 pm #801101Awesome! Everything seems to be working again. Thanks very much!
May 29, 2017 at 2:34 pm #801104Hi,
You’re very much welcome. Thanks for using Enfold :)
