I am trying to use the Enfold Demo Importer to import the Enfold 2017 demo content. It keeps saying:

    Importing didnt work!
You might want to try reloading the page and then try again

Login details below so you can check for yourself.

    Hey shoutcloudstudios,

Have you tried increasing the php memory limit to at least 128mb if it is not already?

Also please use a plugin like https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-database-reset/ reset your wordpress database (warning all content will be lost), and try to re-import.

    Best regards,
    Jordan Shannon

I did exactly as you said with no luck. Updated to 128mb and reset. It still gave the exact same error message. What next?

    Hi,

It is possible that this could be a server related issue. If there’s a chance, please contact your hosting provider regarding this issue. Ask them why the xml files are not being imported correctly. For a workaround, you can try to import the demo files manually. The files are located on enfold > includes > admin > demo folder. Look for the xml files.

    Best regards,
    Jordan Shannon

To be more clear… are you saying that I should try using the wordpress importer tool with your xml files?

    #793572

    Hi,

Correct, but only AFTER contacting your hosting provider to see if this may not be a hosting issue.

I run my own VPS and get to do whatever I need to on my box.

I got the pages to import without images. When I tried to download and attach images, it failed.

How do I import the slider for the Enfold 2017? I don’t see an import file for that. Can you provide that to me or tell me where that is?

    Thanks =D

    Hi,

You are missing the entire slider or just images?

    Best regards,
    Jordan Shannon

    #793674

The whole thing… no slider and no images. Don’t even have the slider plugin.

    Your help is appreciated.

    Hi,

Can you give us ftp access? so we can try to debug it.

I am uploading the latest Enfold release now. By the time you read this, the upload should be complete.

    See credentials below…

    #794078

Can you please go ahead and make the site exactly match your Enfold 2017 Demo version? That is what I am needing… thanks.

    Hi,

Thanks for providing the admin and ftp access, I tried to use wordpress reset and then do the demo import however, I’m getting an Error 500 (Internal Server Error) when doing so. I tried using the default theme of wordpress (twenty sixteen) and upload some images and I’m getting http error and Internal Server Error in the console. Try to contact your host to fix that error and that would probably fix the importing issue.

    Best regards,
    Nikko

I completely removed and recreated the wordpress instance and now everything is working properly.

It’s a brand new install. I haven’t even loaded your theme in yet. I will leave that to you so as not to do anything to mess up the theme installation.

Please install the Enfold 2017 Demo for me.

All of the credentials remain the same.

    Thanks

    Hi,

I have checked it and it seems to have same problem, http error appears when uploading images, you can see in Media > Library the images I attempted to upload. Try to contact your host and check on this post to fix the problem: http://docs.presscustomizr.com/article/229-fixing-errors-when-uploading-images-in-wordpress
    Hope this helps.

I have just made a number of changes. Please try again now…

    Hi,

    I have removed this code:

    SetEnv MAGICK_THREAD_LIMIT 1
    php_value upload_max_filesize 64M
    php_value post_max_size 64M
    php_value max_execution_time 300
    php_value max_input_time 300
    php_value memory_limit 256M

Since you’re site is showing 500 (Internal Server Error) because those codes aren’t recognized in the server where your site is hosted. :( Please ask assistance from your webhost since you can’t just assign memory limit without more than what they have allocated you and they know more how to set the settings.

    Best regards,
    Nikko

I went ahead and moved the install to another server and everything worked properly.

Thanks for your help. You may close this ticket.
