Hi,
I need to make the main navigation button and sub nav button active when on certain pages. If you look at the reference link below, that is one of the pages that when viewing I want to make the “Practice Areas” > “Personal Injury” in the main navigation active. Same as how the second link that provided below works.

Please refer to this thread for a possible solution.

VictoriaMay 13, 2017 at 12:54 am #792559I was unable to get any of those options to work. Can you login and take a look at what I’m doing wrong.
May 13, 2017 at 7:06 am #792647Hi,
Please try this code:
.current-page-ancestor { background:#721a1e !important; } .current-page-ancestor > a { background:#721a1e !important; color:#ffffff !important; } .current-page-ancestor > a:hover {background: #541518 !important;}
Best regards,

May 13, 2017 at 11:36 pm #792818That worked perfect for the top level main navigation item. Is there a way to have the sub category stay active as well? Like how it is when viewing the link below. Is it also possible to keep the roll over eve when scrolling the sub category as well?
May 13, 2017 at 11:44 pm #792820Or if you look at this page, the subcategory item is working correctly, but the main top level navigation item isn’t red
May 14, 2017 at 1:01 pm #792908Hi!
I checked the second link you gave, and it seems like the top level navigation isn’t an ancestor of the page. Can you check the parent page settings?
Best regards,
SarahMay 18, 2017 at 5:01 am #795222I have all the parent settings correct. Below is the sub level structure so you can see how its not working.
May 18, 2017 at 6:07 am #795249Hi,
Please try setting Practice Areas as the Parent of Business Fraud, the same way you did it for Auto Accidents.

SarahMay 18, 2017 at 11:53 pm #796237I’ve updated it and nothing has changed
May 19, 2017 at 2:41 am #796267Hi,
That’s because the CSS I’ve given you wasn’t in Quick CSS yet. I’ve put it in, and it works now. :)
By the way, I noticed you’re still on Enfold 3.6.1. We recommend you update to the latest version of Enfold soon. :)

SarahMay 19, 2017 at 5:31 am #796313No, that didn’t work. Now it doesn’t hight light the ANY of the sub categories. It makes the whole background red. When you click the link below you can see that in the drop down navigation its not highlighted anymore. Same for auto accidents. Yes, it makes the top navigation item highlighted, but it now stops the subcategories from being highlighted. The roll over doesn’t work anymore either with whatever you did.
May 19, 2017 at 5:59 am #796320Hi,
Please check your website now. I also updated the code here.
It should work for all pages, as you can see in Breach of Fiduciary Duty. It works a little differently for Auto Accidents and other subpages of Personal Injury, since their parent page is Practice Areas, not Personal Injury.
I hope that’s clear, and please do let us know if we missed anything.
Best regards,
SarahMay 19, 2017 at 6:28 am #796341That worked great. That you for all your help.
May 19, 2017 at 7:45 am #796394You’re welcome, and thank you for using Enfold!
Do let us know here in the forums if you need help with anything else.
Cheers!
