Dear Enfold Team,
I have a big problem. For a few days I have been working for the first time and intensively in Enfold. I am enthusiastic and have already recommended it to 2 of my customers because of the wonderful editor.
Now a problem has occurred, I don´t notice that. Only one line break per line implemented by the visual editor. Even the standard WordPress Editor can do this and makes as many as I want behind each other, declard as “<p> </p>”, the Visual Composer and other can do this.
But when I start to edit this page, which I have previously created with the Standard-Word-Press-Editor, the Avia Layout Builder all deletes the paragraphs “<p> </p>”. The complete formatting is gone.
Then I create a page directly with the Avia and Textblock Element, only one line break is possible, there is no Function e.g. in Toobar to do more. It´s not a compromise for customers, pasting for every linebreak a html-Tag like e.g. “<br class=”clear” />” a must switching in the CodeText Area of the Avia Builder or for every more line break a whitespace/seperator.
Please make the Avia Layout Builder interpret each return-switch as a linebreak after saving. The standard editor of WordPress and editors other Themes can do that too. But just the Avia Layout Builder is the more attractive in Enfold. That’s why I bought it.
He can not fail with such a “simple” function.
How can I solve the problem within the Avia Builder, please help me, I’m desperate.
Best regards,
Thorsten

May 12, 2017 at 2:07 pm #792302Hey Thorsten,
Technically, using a paragraph with whitespace to add some space vertically is a bad solution. There are margins and paddings for that. Adding a lot of extra elements to html, to pages that already have tons of elements, is also a bad idea and gives your browser more work to do.
You can go to text mode in Text section, give a specific paragraph a class and the assign styles to it. This is the cleanest solution I can think of and it does not require much extra effort.
Let me know what you think.
If you need further assistance please let us know.

“Technically, using a paragraph with whitespace to add some space vertically is a bad solution”
that’s not the point. Even WordPress Standard-Editor does not intervene in the code, why Enfold Visual Editor does?Always working with the Standard editor to avoid, makes no sense….. Enfold without Avia Layout Builder (?).
The Problem is not a good or bad Html-Code, the intervening of Avia decides what remain, what does not. If i switch only for one time the design because I want adding something in Visual Mode, the complete formatting (i want) is revised with one click to Avia-Mode (e.g. br, p – Tags).
Is there adequate solution to work with the Avia Visual Editor without interfering the html code i´ve adding in html-mode? (add something in functions.php in ChildTheme etc.) I tried it with a plugin “Preserved HTML Editor Markup Plus”, but Avia does not accepted next time :-(
Can you give me an Example which i could always use? (“You can go to text mode in Text section, give a specific paragraph a class and the assign styles to it.” )Thank you very much.
Best regards,

May 12, 2017 at 10:27 pm #792530Hi,
That is actually something happening with all the editors and WordPress it self. If you change from Visual to Text, that will do happen.
it is not something we can control to be honest with you we are afraidBest regards,
BasilisMay 14, 2017 at 9:17 pm #793072Afraid of what? Your statement “That is actually something happening with all the editors and WordPress it self” is not true.
WordPress-Standard Editor (Visual/Text) does not, look here:
WordPress Standard Editor (visual/text)Example of another Visual Editor, because you tell me “…with all the editors” , it does not, look here:
Example another visual editorPlease tell me where I can turn this intervention off in Avia Visual Builder or another solution/workaround within visual edit:
Avia Visual BuilderIf possible, open links to screenshots in a new tab (better readability)

May 14, 2017 at 9:36 pm #793082Found same User Question in the Forum from 2013 and some similar via-layout-builder-text-box-deletes-blank-lines Don’t understand the solution – last entry from Josue.
May 14, 2017 at 10:00 pm #793088Hi,
He is pointing to a website that helps you build shortcode with online tools, looks like they have a free plan.Best regards,

May 15, 2017 at 6:31 pm #793454Hi,
Then the best case scenario is to consider hire a developer to help you out, as it is where our support policy ends
Best regards,
BasilisMay 19, 2017 at 4:56 pm #796668The support has not yet begun and is already ending?
Why is it so hard to offer the customer within the normal support something. Your builder causes the symptom (delete Line Breaks), not WordPress.
In the last entry, the same process: line break doesn’t workBest regards,
ThorstenMay 22, 2017 at 10:16 pm #797936Hi,
Our Editor it working with WordPress core, and that is what the WordPress code editor does.
What you want to do, is to enhance that abilities with something extra, where the best case scenario is to build a shortcode and use that to output the content. That is a different way and it does require some knowledge to make it run properly.
There are some online tools to generate shortcodes you can use something like that.Best regards,
