My goal is to create an animated text slider, like in this http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold-startup/ home page.
I purchased the plugin called “Slider Revolution Responsive WordPress Plugin”, and installed the plugin.
It is now sitting in my plugin area and I push the button that says ACTIVATE, and it claims that it is activating, but it never actually works, it just reloads the page and asks me to ACTIVATE as an option.

I’m not sure why you would purchase a plugin for that when it’s included in the theme? Did you check out the Headline Rotator element? That is what the demo is using.

RikardThe reason why i purchased this plug in is simple, I couldn’t figure out how to use these feature in the theme, I need some kind of tutorial to show me how to build these elements. I found a youtube video that was showing people how to use this plugin, so i tried to make it work. This is becoming an urgent issue that i can’t figure it out on my own. I am definitely a beginner using this theme and wordpress in general. I don’t know how to even learn to create everything if I don’t have walk through to learn each effect. Is there a library of training videos that show how to build each feature, that is what a really need. My boss is just showing me the demo and telling me to make our site do the same thing, but I don’t know how (i didn’t even know that the feature I am trying to create was called a Header Rotator Element, i thought is was called a Slider Animator).
What is the best way to learn how to create each effect in this demo? I paid for the theme, thinking I would have tutorials that showed me how to build all the effects I saw, but from what I have seen, it only has a small number of video to watch and they are not showing me the features i need to replicate. Part of the issue is, i have never built a word press site from scratch and i don’t even know some of the vocabulary being used in written form to explain what to do, that is why i need videos to just show me what to do and teach me the vocabulary as they show me what they are doing.

You can find all the documentation on the theme here: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/
But maybe it would be better if you simply imported the demo under Enfold->Demo Import? Then you would see how it’s built.

I would love to import this demo and see how it’s built, but a have already built a lot of content into the website i am building. Is there any way i can import the demo without losing all the work I have already done?
i went ahead and imported the demo, even though i was worried i’d lose all the old content, but i didn’t, it was all still there. i was very relieved, I should be good for the moment, thanks for the advice.
