Well,
I found some more discussions on this but no real solution other than using CF7. But I don’t want to install a big plugin while having the functionality within the theme.
So the question is: how can I change subject and text in autoresponder email of a simple form like a contact-form?
I would expect to give these texts in a string via a hidden field in the form, so this would be some kind of universal and one could use it on more than just one form.Thank you in advance.
May 8, 2017 at 11:33 am #789425Let me explain this in advance. I don’t want to use the possibility inn functions.php because I have a 2 language site. If it is great at one language, the other one is bad.

You don’t want to use a plugin or functions.php, right? So how do you expect to make changes or to introduce new functionality to your website? :)

I have a car in my garage and I use it every day. But for the transportation of a simple bucket I need to buy another car because the seat of my car doesn’t move far enough to put it there.May 8, 2017 at 2:01 pm #789580Hi Ralf,
I am pretty sure, you’re aware that those are two most common ways to change something in WordPress. If you don’t want to use either, you can edit theme framework files and you must know that those changes will be lost with the next them update. So I ask the question again, how do you expect to get this fixed?

VictoriaMay 8, 2017 at 2:18 pm #789598OK Victoria,
what I say is: make it good or leave it. The contact form in Enfold is a very simple tool to make up a form. The many questions about it may tell you that this is not perfect. So after using this and invest time into a contact form using Enfold I have to see that I cannot use it.
I would expect to have an input form where I make up the forms details, to input things like “Subject and text of Autoresponder”. I can do this for the email that I get, but I can’t for the email the customer gets. That’s weird, isn’t it?
I asked for support because I guessed that there is some kind of hidden feature, which I could use to give these texts to the form. But if there is not such a thing I would have to use things like CF7 to get the goal.
I hope you understand what I mean.May 8, 2017 at 3:08 pm #789649Hi Ralf,
Enfold doesn’t have that hidden features and what you see in the options is all there is to it, since the theme only provides basic contact form. And yes, I agree that Contact Form 7 would likely be the plugin you need since the plugin concentrates on the forms and thus it has more advanced features and you could customize it better.
Best regards,

You can close this. I will have to go to manual programming or another plugin.May 9, 2017 at 5:33 am #789967 -
