    Hello,

I added the child theme and imported the settings from the parent theme as described at http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/using-a-child-theme/. Now when I go to the page, the frontpage looks nice but the links in the main navigation don’t work.

Clicking on the navigation it changes the page, but shows me all the time a 404 page.

Does anybody know how to fix this?

    Best regards,
    couda

Try flushing permalinks at SETTINGS > PERMALINKS and click “save changes”

Hi Abbe, thanks for your reply.

I tried but it doesn’t work.

It must be something wrong in the database, because if I make an import of an database backup everything works well with the enfold theme. But if I change it again to the enfold child theme, the links in the main menu are again broken.

I hope someone else has an idea :-).

    Best regards,

    Hi!

It seems like you have not completed WordPress installation. Attached a screenshot in private content field. Can you please complete it and then let us know? :)

    Hi Yigit,

Sorry I was on the front page and tested if the navigation works.
I made an import of the database (state before changing to the child theme), maybe on the same time you was on the page.

Now the enfold theme is active and you could try to change it to the child theme, to check if the links in the main navigation work.

    Good morning Yigit,

as you can see from my last message, I had to revert the database.
It would be very nice, if you could take again a look at my system.

Thank you in advance for your support.

    Hi,

I made an import of the database (state before changing to the child theme), maybe on the same time you was on the page.

How did you do the “import”? I checked the site and the pages are gone or redirects to a 404 page. The parent theme is activated.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi Ismael,

I made the import with phpmyadmin.
Now that you tell me, that the parent theme is active and you changed nothing, I went trough the plugins and checked them.

After deactivating/activating each plugin and checking for each the permalinks I found the issue. WPML had an old version and was not compatible with the current wordpress version. After buying the newest version (lifetime) and activating, everything looks fine.

Thank you for your help, you can close the ticket.

    Best regards,
    couda
