Hello,
When I tried to import the Enfold 2017 demo, it failed and said that “Importing Didn’t Work!”. After reading an old thread, somebody suggested importing the file manually, but I’m not sure which xml file is the right one or if I am even doing it correctly? FYI I am a Mac user using Filezilla. Thanks!April 26, 2017 at 2:32 pm #783500Hey epipipharoo,
Can you give us temporary admin access to your website in the private content box below, so that we can have a closer look.
Best regards,
VictoriaMay 16, 2017 at 1:04 pm #793883Dear Victoria / Support,
Like many others I also got issues importing the demos but I learned it’s not caused by the “WP_MEMORY_LIMIT” but the problem is related to the PHP “max_execution_time”. So in other words if the script exceeds the default execution time of 30 or 60 seconds to parse the data or download the images from the external server to yours it simply fails because it takes to much time.
Unfortunately if you use an shared hosting plan you are not allowed to set the PHP “max_execution_time” above a couple of minutes since that might give performance issue to others users at the same server. I think it just takes to long to download the high quality images from the external server and therefor the importer fails but I cannot make sure since there’s no demo XML available with lightweight dummy sources.
Is it possible for you to share the latest 2017 theme demo XML so I can install this lovely version too please? Would it be possible for you to share an XML version with lightweight dummy sources as well to see if that makes any difference?
Many thanks in advanced! =)
May 16, 2017 at 7:38 pm #794360Hi,
try to talk with your host if they can allow for 5 minutes to increase php max_execution_time. Then you should be able to import the demo. Otherwise what you can try is to click lots of times the import button inside backend, until import is completely finished. You will get an error message, but just keep going, until it works.

AndyMay 17, 2017 at 6:01 pm #795006Hi Andy,
It’s nearly impossible to increase it that high since there’s more running at the same server unfortunately… =)
But I am happy if I can upload the theme demo *.xml manually and since I need to replace the images anyway there’s no need to import those really. Could you share the latest 2017 theme demo *.xml with me please? Thanks!
HimpersMay 18, 2017 at 10:59 pm #796217Hi,
It will not be imported
It is most probably that it will fail to import everything, as when importing a page it moves forward with images also
and somewhere i will crushBest regards,

May 19, 2017 at 9:29 pm #796783Hi,
I think using the following steps could help:
- Try to install xampp on your local machine, install xampp, wordpress and Enfold
- Import Enfold 2017 Demo (if this also fails because of max execution time, you can change the settings in xampp)
- Try to export pages, posts, etc separately (local machine) and import to your site
- If you still have some problems with that, enable Avia Layout Builder Debug on your local machine and live site, follow the instructions here: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/enable-advanced-layout-builder-debug/
- This may take some time, but go to each page and copy the shortcodes (from the debug editor) and paste it to the debug editor on your live site
- Go to Enfold > Import/Export > Import Theme Settings File then import the theme settings file (use the files below).
- Go to Layerslider WP > Import Slider and import the slider using the file below.
Enfold 2017 Theme Settings: https://uploadfiles.io/krd0z
Enfold 2017 Layerslider: https://uploadfiles.io/89h60Hope this helps.

I do have the same problem as many other users when I read your support forum.
I imported the Enfold 2017 demo on 2 wordpress websites with wordpress 4.8. Everything worked fine except importing the layerslider demo content. I imported the content several times, all settings and pages except the layersliders has been imported.
As a lot of users do have this issue at the moment, is it possible to provide us the demo content for the layer slider via manual upload function? Where can we download it?July 17, 2017 at 9:51 am #822441Hi,
The PHP ZipArchive extension is required to import .zip files, please install this extension. You might need to ask your webhost for this.
