    Hey there,

    I just updated my Enfold theme to the newest version.
    Unfortunately I now have a problem when creating new portfolio items. Whereas the featured image used to be scaled to a square thumbnail preview before, now the images now appear in their original aspect ratio in the portfolio overview. It seems as if the thumbnail image sizes are no longer automatically created when I upload a new image to the site.

    I can’t edit the images in the media library either. When I open the attachment detail page and try to resize or rotate an image, I get the following error: “Could not load the preview image. Please reload the page and try again.” Refreshing unfortunately doesn’t solve the problem.

    Can you please advise me with this matter?

    Hi there! On the issue of the image editing, I’m also getting the “Could not load the preview image. Please reload the page and try again.” error when I have the Enfold Child theme activated.

    Problem is, I’m working in a child theme and don’t know exactly how to make the change to the functions.php while also working in a child theme.

    What exactly do you want to do? Did you remove the closing descriptor in the functions.php file?

    Hi Victoria,

    I haven’t been able to do anything yet. What I’d like to do is fix the issue so that we can edit those images in WordPress without that error.

    I did not remove the closing descriptor – I don’t know how to do that for a Child theme since the Child theme’s function.php is empty. The only way the function works in WordPress is to switch back over to the regular Enfold (non-child) theme, but we want to avoid that.
