    Hi all,

I’ve begun using the Blog component on some of our pages at GMCLA.ORG. There’s something in the component when using the Grid Layout blog style that’s causing havoc with that page’s URL. What happens is that the URL actually changes to reflect one of the blog postings when the page is saved – resulting in a 404 error if you don’t correct it. Indeed, I have to re-enter the page’s URL and then save it. This only appears to happen when selecting the grid layout – the other layout options don’t cause the page’s URL to change upon Saving.

For example, navigate to the It Gets Better tour page: http://gmcla.org/gmcla3/outreach/it-gets-better-tour/ – this is what the URL should be. When I edit the page and save it, the URL changes to: http://gmcla.org/gmcla3/outreach/gets-better-shares-message-equality/ – which is one of the blog entries pulled by the blog component.

Thanks for taking a look at this weird behavior.

    Hey James,
Can you please include a admin login in the private content area so we can take a closer look.

    Best regards,
    Mike

Mike hello – Here’s the access information you requested in the private area. I’ve created a special page so you can see what’s going on. Here’s the link: http://gmcla.org/gmcla3/kriesi/

    To replicate the problem:

Go into Edit mode on this page
Click the Update button – note how the page’s URL (the Permalink) changes to one of the blog entries pulled in by the Blog component at the bottom of the page.

What I have to do after editing any page that contains the Blog component:

Click the Edit button next to the Permalink after the page has updated with an incorrect URL
Type in what the URL should be – in this case ‘kriesi,’
    Hit the Update button again.
    UGH!!!

    Hi,

You have two Enfold’s installed on your website. Can you please remove the inactive one and then try de-activating all active plugins and check if that helps?
You can activate them one by one later to find the culprit

    Best regards,
    Yigit

    Hello!

After upgrading to the latest version of Enfold, this problem went away because you included the update to LayerSlider.

Now LayerSlider has come out with a newer version. Any idea when Enfold will be updated as well?

    Thanks!

    Hi Jim,

Thanks for feedback. We are working on a new release of the theme, it should hopefully be available by the end of the month.

    Best regards,
    Rikard
