Hi I updated my site today from (see private content) and expected the database to update. It did with the pages but almost all the AVIA images have not updated to the relevant wp-content directory…. they are all still pointing to (see private content)
Is there a fix?
Thans in advance
April 20, 2017 at 10:09 pm #780824Hey b4mmy,
When migrating a site you should be using a tool that will change image paths for you. You can also use a plugin which changes all paths in WordPress to relative to make migration easier.
I highly recommend https://wordpress.org/plugins/all-in-one-wp-migration/

Jordan ShannonApril 21, 2017 at 10:55 am #781090But this isn’t a migration, simply a URL change in the wordpress settings on the same server in the same directory. All the pages were automatically repointed as I would expect, as well as the sliders, – but none of my ‘avia_image_team’ photos –
should have updated to the new URL like all wordpress url updates do with images in the uploads directory:
April 21, 2017 at 3:13 pm #781235Hi,
Okay I see, I thought you were doing a complete move. Again, I think the best and quickest solution to get you back up and running would be to utilize a plugin. You can search all instances of the old url, and replace with the new one. https://wordpress.org/plugins/search-and-replace/

Jordan ShannonApril 21, 2017 at 5:27 pm #781317I tried that before I created this post – the Plugin doesn’t find the avia_image_team upload images with their url structure. Surely this issue must have been mentioned before? I’d be astounded if it hadn’t
April 21, 2017 at 5:28 pm #781318If you check out the website you’ll understand the scale of this problem – I used the team function to create dozens of product pages and to reload them will involve me in a huge amount of time
April 21, 2017 at 11:44 pm #781481Hi,
Please view this thread to see if it helps: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/migration-and-changing-url-bug-from-avia/#post-219524
Please attempt the suggested fix, and If this does not help, I will bring others in to try and get this resolved.

Jordan ShannonApril 23, 2017 at 2:03 pm #781933None of this works, the old URL now points somewhere else so throws a 404 error and will lock me out of the dashboard. Why does Enfold not update the url paths like every other theme? If I’d known this was going to be an issue I would never have gone here. Please ask me of your developers to help me. Search and Replace and Migration are not going to work in this case. Thank you.
April 23, 2017 at 3:07 pm #781947Hi,
Can I ask, when you tried Search and Replace, did you try to:Search : http://gdgltd.co.uk Replace : http://gray.tools
this would fix your URL’s Here’s and example I tested on my localhost with https://wordpress.org/plugins/better-search-replace/ :
Here’s some more info from WordPress: https://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_The_Site_URLBest regards,
MikeApril 23, 2017 at 5:00 pm #781976Hi Mike, (and Jordan) I appreciate the screenshot and yes I did run this a few days ago but it had no effect.
I can’t explain why, but I have just run the SQL again and downloaded the file and imported it and it works. I can’t explain why it didn’t the first time, or why it has worked today but it has. No doubt it’s my error, but thank you for taking the time to load this and I apologise for my earlier frustration – my client if off to an Expo in Germany tomorrow morning and I would have felt bad if they had gone with a broken site. Thanks again.
I would put this cautionary tale into your notes for pre-purchasers.
By the way, I chose ENFOLD because of all the themes I am using this seemed to be the simplest. It’s also very quick.
Chris
