Good Morning. I have three questions about the same thing.
1. I have added the category and archive search function to the footer and sidebars but when you click on this, the posts appear with the image twice, although this does not happen when you click on the blog directly. Can you let me know why this happens so I can avoid it?
2. When archive or category list comes up with the full post. Is there a way of collapsing this so it shows an extract and read more as per my blog front page settings.
3. Sometimes the blog title appears in the title bar and on others just above the post image (which I prefer) can you let me know to control this.
April 20, 2017 at 8:20 pm #780739Hey 6figuresuccess,
1. The 2 images are there because it’s feature image that is shown and an image in a blog post. You can remove the image from the blog post and uncheck “Don’t display on single post”. That way you’ll have one image.
2. Read more https://kriesi.at/support/topic/excerpt-and-read-more-link/#post-520552 and here you have to check “Summary”.
3. Please attach some screenshot of when this happens.
If you need further assistance please let us know.
Best regards,
VictoriaApril 21, 2017 at 11:41 am #781115Hello Victoria,
1. I’ve tried that and it doesn’t seem to work. Having problems with the screenshot so here is the link to the page http://sdhcounselling.co.uk/category/relationship/ Re point 3, this includes the blog title layout as preferred. This is the alternative layout. http://sdhcounselling.co.uk/2017/01/12-steps-handle-conflict-help-improve-relationship/?preview_id=3506&preview_nonce=9fa1289e10&post_format=standard&_thumbnail_id=3687&preview=true
2. I have read the post re read more, this seems to relate to the main blog page. That is showing up fine for me. It’s how the posts appear when accessed via the widgets. Where would I apply the code?
Many thanks
April 22, 2017 at 7:20 pm #781750Hi,
To solve archive page posts from showing the image twice, try this code in the General Styling > Quick CSS field:.archive img.size-featured { display: none !important; }

Best wishes
April 26, 2017 at 9:43 am #783348Hi!
Here is how you could adjust your category page http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/change-archive-categorytag-blog-style/, it’s the page you get to when from your sidebar widget.
Here is more on meta title

VictoriaApril 26, 2017 at 2:38 pm #783504Hello Victoria,
Thank you so much for your help so far. Just the matter of the titles. I would like to know how to get the title of a post to appear above the post image as opposed to in the title bar. Sometimes this happens and sometimes not. If you check the links sent you will see the difference.
Thanks
April 26, 2017 at 8:40 pm #783685Hiya, I think I’ve worked it out! I have been switching between the default editor and the advanced editor when writing the posts. So it looks like I need to stick to one or the other. Could that be right?
Thanks
April 26, 2017 at 9:45 pm #783699Hi!
That is a bit tricy, as it can be something on the backend that is making those issues.
If that works for you, it is OK, but I would suggest to create a clone installation and try get things around with isable plugins etcRegards,
BasilisApril 28, 2017 at 1:48 pm #784541Hello Basilis,
Thank you very much for all you help so far. It’s been invaluable for the first time WP user! How would I know if it is a bug and would leaving it cause problems down the line?
Best wishes
Sandra
