    Hi,

I’m getting this message when I try to login WordPress to manage my Website after I did the update of Enfold Sunday April 16.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /home/content/54/8435454/html/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-layerslider/LayerSlider/layerslider.php on line 109

See private content for FTP login.
What should I do to access to my site ? Thank you very much for your help.

    Steve

    Hey SteveRousseauDesigns,

Go to your files and put this line of code in your functions.php after line 17:

    add_theme_support('deactivate_layerslider');

This will deactivate Layer Slider and you will be able to reach your dashboard, if you need Layer Slider get back to us.

If you need further assistance please let us know.
    Best regards,
    Victoria

    Hi SteveRousseauDesigns,

You have to edit the file via FTP, not through WordPress dashboard. Have you tried that?

    Best regards,
    Victoria

    Hi!

Can you please check also your php version?
Make sure it is higher from 5.6 or even better, higher than php ver 7.

    Cheers!

    Hi,

    Thank you for your help.

I did add the line in the php file via FTP. Now I have access to my dashboard in WP.

My website is hosted on Go Daddy and it appears that the latest PHP version available is 5.4. Of course I would love to be able to use the Layer Slider function in the future. What should I do?

    Thank you,

    Steve

    Hi Steve,

Thanks for the feedback. Is there no way for you to be able to run a higher PHP version?

    Best regards,
    Rikard
