Hello,
we use the Contact form from the Avia layout builder on our Websites (at https://www.sketchengine.co.uk/request-support/) and detected a problem connecting with the mail sender.
The contact form sends email from a user by using its own mail, e.g. (Email address hidden if logged out) , but Yahoo and probably most mail providers do not allow to send an email from different servers (our servers).
Just we would need to change the mail address of sending email from inserted mail (user’s mail) to some own one, but to keep user’s mail for reply to mail.
Thank you,
April 16, 2017 at 1:10 am #778313Hey mjakubicek,
Can you please explain how you believe there is an error and what are the signs of the error?
Because when a visitor fills out your contact form, WP uses your web host (php mail) to send it to you. It is not sent by Yahoo, or any others. Now is you are using Yahoo for your business (contact form) and you test your form with your yahoo address it will be blocked, this is well documented, but it does not affect real contact email from visitors. Any other deliverably issues with your web host mail could be pointing to a black listed IP.Best regards,

after a longer time we are back with detailed information.
The problem is, that WP sends emails (via PHPMailer) with the header “From: (Email address hidden if logged out) “. The mail is send via our mailservers, but if the domain has DMARC policy enabled and the receiving servers (Google in our case) test this, the mail is not delivered. For Google it seem, that our servers send emails for domain whaever.com, but whaever.com DMARC policy says something else. We already have this problem with yahoo.com (and other, who has DMARC).
So we need the WP plugin set up from mail address to (Email address hidden if logged out) to satisfy the DMARC.
