I don’t know what’s going on, but I can not get the bottom margin for my horizontal optin smaller on the home page. I only want the bottom margin to be about 5px. It’s not working.

Also, how can I get the blog featured images bigger (height, not cropped) on the home page? I’ve tried modifying the big-preview.single-big, but it’s not adjusting for some reason.

    How can I fix this?

Please show me how to fix this.

    Hey mikkijack,

About your fist question, may you explain it better and share some screenshots, please?

Now, about the thumbnail size, try the following:

    1. Install this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-image-sizes/
    2. Go to Settings > Media
    3. Change the thumbnail image size (increase its width / height).
    4. Regenerate the thumbnails by clicking the button at the bottom.

    Best regards,

    Hey John,

Thanks for responding. I’ve put the link in the private field. The bottom margin is too big.

As far as the second question (bigger picture) I need to do it by css and my css isn’t working. I don’t want to add more plugins because it slows the site down. It already takes too long to load.

looks like I fixed the optin part, but I still need to know how to fix the picture height.

    Hi,

Please reconsider John’s solution, you cannot fix it via css, since your feature image get’s cropped and stretching a cropped image in this case does not work.

If you need further assistance please let us know.

It does work. I’ve fixed it already.

Just in case anyone searches for this in the future, I just needed to make the featured picture smaller. The CSS goes by the width of the picture and it will automatically adjust to show the height of the picture. By making the picture 600 x 400, it adjusted perfectly.
