Way before Christmas 1996 I had the issue that if I use the +/- keys to alter the qty in the cart for a product, the update button became active but wouldn’t work.
The advice was to use a modified woocommerce-mod.js written by mensmaximus
Found via this link : https://kriesi.at/support/topic/woocommerce-2-6-problem-urgent/#post-650161
There have been several updates of Themes and Woocommerce since then and I am using:
WC – 2.6.14, Enfold 4.0.5 and WP 4.7.3I still have the problem described below:
I can adjust the quantity in the cart with the + and – buttons but when I click Update Cart absolutely nothing happens…it does not even attempt to reload the page, etc., it just acts like a non-functioning button. The button does change appearance when I mouse over, but clicking does not do anything further.”
If I hover over the Delete Item part, I can see the call on the lower display area on Chrome. If I left click the delete item button it acts like the Update button above – However… If I right click the Delete Item Button and open it in a new tab, then the process is undertaken and the item is deleted. The same happens, that is it works, if I copy the link and run it address line at the top.As the modified woocommerce-mod.js written by mensmaximus is now a year old, should I try using it or have you made changes to deal with the problem and there is something unique with my site that is causing this issue?
BTW, I’ve just activated the coupon part and that seems to work perfectly well.

April 12, 2017 at 1:16 pm #776621Hey!
Things have changed since Christmas 1996, both WooCommerce and Enfold received updates :)
You are using the latest version of Enfold however have you tried updating WooCommerce to version 3.0.1? Please try to do so in a testing environment – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/move-from-a-local-installation-to-a-live-server/.Best regards,
YigitApril 12, 2017 at 4:09 pm #776761Hi Yigit
I was holding off updating the WooCommerce as there are numerous threads on this site and others highlighting many issues with the upgrade. I had hoped I could get the cart working before I updated.
Back at Christmas I was on:
WC 2.6.8, Enfold 3.8, WP 4.6.1
I’m now on:
WC – 2.6.14, Enfold 4.0.5 and WP 4.7.3Are you confident that this is a Woocommerce issue rather than an Enfold issue as the fix back then was to change the woocommerce-mod.js which I understand is an Enfold component.
I’m happy to spend some time updating Woocommerce but I would like to do it with confidence that it will solve the problem.
April 13, 2017 at 12:49 pm #777222Hi,
Using WooCommerce 3.0.1 and the latest version of theme, you should not experience any issues. However there might be something specific on your installation. To be on the safe side, please refer to this post – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/move-from-a-local-installation-to-a-live-server/ and create a testing environment and update WooCommerce there and check if it breaks anything :)
Best regards,
YigitApril 30, 2017 at 5:37 am #785182Hi Yigit,
I have now updated to Woocommerce Ver 3.0.5, Enfold 4.0.5, WP 4.7.4
I’ve had to add a Child Theme from Mensmaximus as the images in the product page were blurry and this was the only fix.
My Cart is till the same as above – no improvement at all.
3 different browsers all operating systems.
What do I do now?May 1, 2017 at 7:39 pm #785938Hi,
I have loaded your web site and I can see a Jquery conflict.
Can you please disable all the plugins and try after and let us know?Best regards,
BasilisJune 13, 2017 at 3:57 pm #807541OK, it took some time, but found the offending plugin.
I was using WordPress HTTPS – intended to be an all-in-one solution to using SSL on WordPress sites.
Version 3.3.6 | By Mike EmsAdmittedly it was no longer supported but all worked fine on my earlier versions of Woocommerce/Enfold.
As it was HTTPS I was concerned of the affect it would have if I removed it from the site. Fortunately, I have found an alternative SSL plugin I can use and that doesn’t affect the checkout.
Thanks for your help
