Hi! I’m having an issue importing Enfold 2017 demo. I’m running WP 4.7.3 and enfold 4.0.5. I reset my WP and it still doesn’t work. The first time I hit import there isn’t any effect on the page and it doesn’t refresh. The second time I hit import the page refreshes and it imports with errors (header, the new tabs…). See for yourself!
Thank you in advance!
April 8, 2017 at 8:07 pm #774667Hey cosmicresearch,
I don’t see any errors, but I also don’t see that you are using the 2017 demo, Can you please include a admin login in the private content area so we can take a closer look.Best regards,
MikeApril 8, 2017 at 9:01 pm #774694Sorry Mike, I forgot I removed it after trying to solve it. I just uploaded the demo again so you can check it. Thank you Mike!
April 8, 2017 at 9:33 pm #774709Hi,
Are you using a security plugin? Is it somehow connected to your live site? (multisite) Please try resetting wp, disabling all plugins, download demo.Best regards,
MikeApril 8, 2017 at 10:06 pm #774714Hey Mike,
I don’t understand what you meant by the multisite connection. By resetting WP all plugins get deactivated in test.cosm…. .org. I do have plugins in my main site, though.
April 8, 2017 at 11:13 pm #774732Hi,
I ask because when I try to check your theme and plugins I don’t get the result I expect, it seems blocked, and while you have reset your site, your menu is not the default, so I’m thinking that the issue of getting a clean demo import is related to an error in your theme files. Since this is a test site with no content, I would recommend deleting and doing a clean install of WP & Enfold. This will ensure you are building on a solid foundation.
Best regards,
MikeApril 10, 2017 at 9:03 am #775323Hi. May I hook in here. I have the same issues – importing 2017 demo fails.
1. virgin German WP 4.7.3 without any third-party plugins
2. Enfold 4.0.5
3. Apache access privileges – files: 644, folders: 755
4. no htaccess/htpasswd protection
Screenshot of the way too fast fading out error message:
Media files are imported. No pages or articles created.
Backend and FTP access provided privately. Thanks in advance,
achimApril 11, 2017 at 5:43 am #775786Hi,
Could you try to reset your installation using a plugin like this and try again please? https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-reset/. Note that running the plugin will wipe all data on your site.
Best regards,
RikardApril 11, 2017 at 3:03 pm #776082Hi Rikard.
OK, I did a wordpress reset run. Then deleted plugin. 2017 demo import: trial #1 failed. ‘didn’t work. Try reloading page and start import once again.’
Nearly depressed, I pushed the import button once again. Et voilà, working!
Happy to start over now.
Thanks, AchimApril 12, 2017 at 5:31 am #776445 -
