Dear Kriesi Team,
since the Woocommerce 3.0 Update the Shop System and Enfold Theme is crappy.
Thera are many issues, like the Product-Image, Language Display, Payment Integration
and many more. Some users are offering help with some work-arounds, reverting to old Woocommerce Versions,
child-theme and many more. But this cannot to be the solution, because it is offering new problems (e.g. Child Themes).
Is there any solution avaible by the kries.at Theme or should we wait for a Woocommerce Update???
Please give us a advice for working with this wonderfull Theme,April 5, 2017 at 1:48 pm #772518Hi,
WooCommerce 3.0 was a major update which made many changes to the core product. I was hopping on here to troubleshoot some changes to a site in staging which I think come back to the Enfold theme, but I don’t think its fair to say “crappy”.
Woocommerce issued a major version release yesterday. They were very careful to say to test this in staging first with the update release as it is likely to break things.
For the future, I recommend you update your site in a test site to check through issues like this – particularly if the update is a major version (i.e. 2.6.x to 3.0 like this one). Minor version releases (3.0.0 to 3.0.1 for example) should be fine.
For my part, one element of product images is not working in Enflold.
April 5, 2017 at 1:58 pm #772529Some earlier 3.0 releases (RC1 and RC2) were realesed nearly 4 weeks ago. ..
May the problems were not occured on these releases, i never checked. But, if i have a Theme which is basicly
compatible with woocommerce and this is also a usp for the sale of this theme, it should be checked by the team.If you have a shop, and after the plugin-update your sale is out of order, this is a major issue.
I believe in the knowledge of the kriesi.at team, but this update issue still a crap.
April 5, 2017 at 2:07 pm #772537If you have a shop, I would say don’t ever put upgrades into your production store without first checking them in staging. I’m not arguing about whether this issue should exist. I’m not the theme developer.
April 5, 2017 at 2:13 pm #772544Hi Steffen, its up in your hand to update major releases like WC 3.0 without testing or reading on related parts before updating. I checked not only Enfold but few extensions change logs too and saw in case of extensions, that few of them are still not compatible with WC 3. So we have to wait.
If you are in a hurry updating your site before reading all about compatibility with WC 3 its your case.
I updated one staging site and checked Enfold 4.0.5 and found only one thing not working: the new way product images are shown. Anything else is working fine.
April 7, 2017 at 3:05 pm #774019Hi,
Please update WooCommerce to 3.0.1.
We always recommend our users to wait a bit longer if their websites purely depend on WooCommerce or testing on a testing environment ( http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/move-from-a-local-installation-to-a-live-server/ )
@24hourtrading and @adrianwackernah Thanks for your input guys :)Best regards,
YigitJune 8, 2017 at 3:43 am #805422Has there been any updates to this.
I am building a new site and added WooCommerce (V 3.0.8) unaware of these issues but it is just not working.
Has there been an update that fixes it or is it coming?
What should I do in the meantime?June 8, 2017 at 3:52 pm #805617Hi,
@PeterSpann Please make sure you are using the latest version of Enfold which is currently 4.0.7 – kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/. If that does not help, please start a new thread under Enfold sub forum :)Best regards,
