Hi, my enfold site is corrupt and I can not edit it. I was told to update it with new version? Is this correct and am I at the correct place?

Yes, this is the correct place for support. Please refer to this post – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/ and update the theme to the latest version 4.0.4.
