Hi,
it seems as though a recent update to LayerSlider and/or Enfold has caused an issue with links which were previously applied to the whole slide using LayerSlider’s ‘Slide Linking’ option:
The links now appear to be set only on the background of the slide but are ‘ignored’ by any layer elements which appear on the slide, i.e. you can click on an area without text or image but text/images are not clickable/linked.
I’ve tried clearing browser cache and WordPress page cache.
Is there a setting I’m missing or is there some kind of bug?A second, older issue I’ve been unable to solve for a while now (I can create a second topic if preferred) is to have a linked image within the ‘Copyright’ section of the theme.
I’m using the following HTML in the ‘Copyright’ field and image displays but can’t see why it’s not linked:<center><a href="http://example.com/"><img src="https://example.com/logo.png" width='100' /></a></center>
Any assistance appreciated.
March 25, 2017 at 11:36 pm #766759Hey Leosoki,
OK, so I went into your slider and saw the first one had a slide link, but as you said it only worked for the background. So I added the same link to each layer and now it works good. Try to change the other ones, as I only did the one with “Ingen – The INGENeers”Best regards,
MikeMarch 26, 2017 at 11:36 pm #767095Hi, Mike.
Thanks for that. I figured I could do that for each layer as a workaround but that’s not normal operation, is it? Was hoping to get to the root cause of the issue rather than have to do that each time, since I frequently change the slides and associated links and the ‘Slide Linking’ option used to do the job just fine.
I’ll do as you have done for the others but am hoping I can find the solution at some point soon.
I appreciate the assistance. Do you or anyone else have any info on the 2nd issue I mentioned regarding linking the image ‘Copyright’ section or should I create another topic?
Thanks.
March 27, 2017 at 12:48 am #767105Hi,
OK, 2ed issue: your link was broken due to<center>
tag so I made a
<div>
with this css:.logocen { width: auto; text-align: center; margin-top: -20px;} .av-share-box {margin-top: 20px !important; }
as you see I also fixed the share box so everything is more in line.
Best regards,
MikeMarch 27, 2017 at 1:53 am #767113Now, that… is incredibly helpful. It’s annoyed me for so long. I’m very grateful!
Still hoping someone can suggest why the ‘Slide Linking’ option isn’t behaving as expected, but thanks a lot!

After the last refresh, the slide linking option is not working.
Is there a new update to correct this error?Ricardo
March 31, 2017 at 9:25 am #769801Hi ricardodrezende,
There have been 2 updates recently to LayerSlider. One of them comes with Enfold 4.0.4, the next one will be available in the new version of Enfold.
Which version of Enfold are you running?
Best regards,
VictoriaMarch 31, 2017 at 2:52 pm #769976Thanks, Victoria.
I have been running 4.0.4 since it’s release, and the updated LayerSlider contained, rather than fixing the issue, has actually managed to stop my workaround from working, too (applying the link to each layer individually, as well as the slide as a whole).
So, I’m eagerly awaiting another update in hope it will fix the issue, since I’ve had no other solution offered.
Thanks.
