I am currently trying to make some changes to my church website, but running into an issue with the text blocks. The “look” of the editor has changed since the last time I made changes, so things are a little different. But the problem I’m having is that when the text box loads up, the “I’m not a programmer so here are options to change color, font size, etc…” aren’t there anymore. I could try to work around this, but no matter what I do, when I click to close or save for the text box, nothing happens. The text box won’t go away. Anything I’m trying to save doesn’t get saved. I’ll admit that I’m over my head a bit since I’m not a programmer or web dev, but I have been responsible for this website for almost 3 years with no problems I couldn’t figure out myself. Does anyone have any suggestions for how I might be able to move forward? Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the login details, I checked the page in private though I couldn’t see anything like that when I opened the first Text Block element. Where can we see and reproduce the error? A screenshot of the problem might help us understand the problem better.
Best regards,
RikardMarch 3, 2017 at 7:17 pm #755286I put a link to a video showing what’s happening down in the private content section. When I click on “save” or “close,” the web address changes to reflect that, but nothing changes. Your response said that you didn’t have any problems, so I logged into the new credentials I made for you and it’s working like normal. Should I just create a new admin profile and delete the old one?
I have included the login credentials for the profile that’s having the issues if you’d like to take a look and see what’s happening. Thanks so much!
March 3, 2017 at 8:27 pm #755332This is a script issue with avia-modal.js. This is affecting more than just the text blocks. I am noticing this with the icon boxes too. It is at the point where I cannot edit my sites anymore. The “live preview” is a good idea, but it doesn’t feel well tested and there isn’t any way to turn it off. There should definitely be an option to turn it off and have it like it was before when it was working.
March 5, 2017 at 11:33 pm #756063Hi,
I have tested both logins, the new one works right & the old one works like the video, wrong.
I can’t explain this, unless there is some other issue going on like your security plugin created a fault point at upgrade?
I assume the new user was made after the upgrade. Perhaps you can make a backup, and migrate to the new user?
Sorry I was not more help.
Best regards,
MikeMarch 6, 2017 at 3:06 am #756102I am having the exact same issue with my text boxes, I upgraded but am still having the issues. I am using the same user as I have always used.
March 6, 2017 at 4:39 am #756125I definitely have not come up with any answers other than just make a fresh user. When I made a new one for the moderators to log in and fiddle around, they did not experience the same issues. Everything was normal for them. So it’s not the most technical solution, but try creating a new user and see if it fixes the issue for you like it did with me.
