MikeFebruary 28, 2017 at 12:03 am #752640Same for me as well. Update has broken the WP-Admin
February 28, 2017 at 12:14 am #752649Hey!
Please update Enfold to 4.0.1 via FTP – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
Alternatively, you can go to wp-content/themes/enfold/includes/admin/ folder via FTP and replace helper-compat-update.php file with this one – https://www.dropbox.com/s/ljvb1f8sqcoj3cv/helper-compat-update.php?dl=0
Best regards,
YigitFebruary 28, 2017 at 12:19 am #752657Hi,
I update helper-compat-update.php via ftp but nothing is better – still error 500!February 28, 2017 at 12:25 am #752663Hi Mike,
if you post me a link to your site (please use the private content field) as well as your wordpress login credentials and ftp login credentials I will take a look at it and try to make it work again. Maybe we are missing something here and access to a server with this problem might help, since I am not able to reproduce the issue…
Best regards,
KriesiFebruary 28, 2017 at 12:29 am #752665Hi Kreisi,
see private data…February 28, 2017 at 12:41 am #752667My sites (backend) are broken too after updating to 4.0.1.
February 28, 2017 at 12:41 am #752668For you further information: Slider at startpage don’t work correct.
February 28, 2017 at 1:08 am #752677Hi Mike,
I was able to activate your backend but not sure why the error keeps happening for you. I will investigate further but you should be fine with future updates since the code that causes the error only runs once and then never again.
@ak-muc I only can help if you post me a link to your site (please use the private content field) as well as your wordpress login credentials and ftp login credentials I will take a look at it and try to make it work again. Maybe we are missing something here and access to a server with this problem might help, since I am not able to reproduce the issue…Best regards,
KriesiFebruary 28, 2017 at 1:12 am #752679Hi Kreisi,
ok, but the slider at the startpage is still broken, after the second candy no more images (candys) are loading!
Best regards
MikeFebruary 28, 2017 at 1:17 am #752682Hey,
and what the hell is with my mediathek? It is full with Dummycontent or what is that?February 28, 2017 at 1:23 am #752684Hi,
If you are not using the demo content layersliders you can simply remove that. That content was previously located in the theme folder (the old layerslider had a different approach to importing the images necessary than the new one)
Since we updated to the new layerslider all images are now imported into your media library. This is to make sure that people who actually use the demo sliders in one way or another are not stranded with missing links.
But as I said, if you dont use those sliders feel free to delete them, along with the images
Best regards,
KriesiFebruary 28, 2017 at 1:27 am #752685What is this, the mediathek is full with this images,, why you do that? I can’t find my own images – take a look!
AND: My Sliderset is broken after this update.February 28, 2017 at 1:30 am #752686The mediathek loads all time the same images: Democontent from the new slider, so I can’t delete this images!
February 28, 2017 at 1:31 am #752687Oh just checked, I am sorry, those images should have just been imported once, that was probably caused by me, trying to fix the backend which might have activated the script multiple times.
I am sorry for that, took the freedom to remove those images for you ;)
As for the problem with the layerslider. I am afraid this one is not caused by enfold or the theme and might be an incompatibility between the old layerslider that was used and the new one. It seems you need to set the 3 images again, I am afraid.
I will report that to the layerslider team and I am sorry for all the hassle.
February 28, 2017 at 1:36 am #752688Ok, but mediathek don’t show my images! What is that?
February 28, 2017 at 1:40 am #752690Ah. Medithek seams ok yet – thank you!
February 28, 2017 at 1:44 am #752695One Hint more: The classes for the layer are changed from .ls-l to .ls-layer.
This is bad for all people who use this!Thank you for your verry fast support Kreisi!
