Spoke with WPENGINE and have come to the conclusion it’s the theme and not a plugin conflict.
Currently we are unable blend of create pages with the Avia layout builder, upload files in wordpress or do anything in the backend. Everything is broken. When we use a different theme, everything works perfectly. We disabled all the plugins and just had the enfold theme and the same problems occurred.
February 17, 2017 at 11:58 pm #748711Hey jlovebomb!
Can you please ask WPEngine to check the permitions of wp-content folder.
Also, please make sure that php memory limit is set to 256MLet us know if that works your issue
Best regards,

February 20, 2017 at 6:31 am #749149Hi,
Thanks for the feedback. How did you come to the conclusion that it’s not a plugin conflict? You could try to overwrite the theme files with a fresh copy from your Themeforest account via FTP to see if that helps: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
If not then are we allowed to disable plugins for testing purposes?
Best regards,
RikardFebruary 21, 2017 at 11:20 pm #750195Testing each plugin 1 by 1, I had WPEngine look into it and from their diagnostics, they determined it was the theme.
I have tried using a fresh copy of the theme and still nothing. I can make a staging environment for you to test on.
Once the changes are working I will push to the live site! Thanks
February 23, 2017 at 4:22 am #750788Hi,
Ok, thanks for the feedback. If you have any specific information as to what is causing the problem it would be appreciated. Are we allowed to disable plugins for testing purposes?
Best regards,
RikardFebruary 23, 2017 at 4:24 am #750789Of course you are. I made the staging environment for you for that purpose. Use the Staging credentials.

February 28, 2017 at 9:25 am #752795Hey!
We can see a lot of errors in the console and it seems to originate from the load-scripts.php file.
load-scripts.php?c=0&load[]=jquery-ui-core,utils&ver=4.7.2:11 Uncaught ReferenceError: jQuery is not defined
at load-scripts.php?c=0&load[]=jquery-ui-core,utils&ver=4.7.2:11
at load-scripts.php?c=0&load[]=jquery-ui-core,utils&ver=4.7.2:11Please ask your hosting provider if they have any idea what’s causing the error. Or post the ftp details here so that we can check the issue further.
Best regards,
IsmaelMarch 1, 2017 at 9:27 pm #753955Spoke with WPE, and they were not able to figure it out!
I am aware of the same issue but I have no idea how to solve it. Either jQuery isn’t being loaded at the correct time or the right version is not included in the load-scrips.php file.
March 2, 2017 at 7:52 am #754119Hi!
I tried to deactivate the entire plugins directory, override the old load-scripts.php file, modified the .htaccess file and re-install WordPress but nothing is working. However, when I try to re-install WordPress, I noticed that it doesn’t update the installation, it redirects back to the startup page. Please get a fresh copy of the WordPress zip file then override your installation manually via FTP.
Cheers!
IsmaelMarch 6, 2017 at 3:26 am #756106Of course it won’t update, WPE handles all core updates. You cannot reinstall the WP manually, It has to be done through WPE. We will take this in house a figure it out ourselves or move to a new theme.

March 6, 2017 at 4:27 am #756113Hey!
I’m sorry to hear that. There’s a lot of Enfold installations hosted on WPE but they don’t have this issue. Why is it not possible to update WordPress manually?
Regards,
IsmaelMay 25, 2018 at 4:52 am #961946I found the solution with a very helpful wpengine support tech
define(‘CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS’, false);
must use the correct syntax to work
put this in the bottom of wp-config.php
May 25, 2018 at 6:16 am #961956Very strange. I have been running Enfold on WP Engine for 2 years now with no problems or conflicts and did not need to modify wp-config.php. I wonder if something became corrupted during install? Wp Engine is great, glad they were able to sort it out!
May 28, 2018 at 8:39 am #962974Hi,
@goldengate415: Thanks for the input. :)
@webchurn: Glad that it is working now. Thanks to WPE. :)Best regards,
