Hello,
I’m getting a spinning wheel and am unable to edit specific pages with the Avia Layout Builder.
I’ve tried everything in this thread and nothing has fixed the issue: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/my-enfold-layout-builder-is-not-loading-properly/
Please have a look. Login and page details provided in private field.
Thank you!
February 3, 2017 at 9:23 am #742266Hey asrtweb,
A plugin conflict may be one of the reason for this issue.
To find which plugin is causing the conflict please follow these steps:1. Go to your plugins page > Deactivate all active Plugins
2. Update WordPress and Enfold to latest version if you have not.
3. Make sure all the plugins are updated.
4. If the problem does not persist when plugins are turned off, activate one plugin at a time and refresh until you find the plugin in conflict. We await the results of your plugin compatibility test.
Thanks for your cooperation :)
Best regards,
VinayFebruary 4, 2017 at 2:17 am #742632As stated in my previous message, I have done all of this already with no success. It is only with certain pages that this is happening, not all pages. Please have a look with the credentials provided.
Thanks!
February 4, 2017 at 12:24 pm #742793Hi,
Can you try to increase the memory limit: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/increasing-the-wordpress-memory-limit/ you might need to ask your webhost the maximum memory you can set on your site.
Best regards,
NikkoMarch 12, 2017 at 6:47 am #759554The WordPress memory limit was at 512M, it has been increased to 1024M. The problem is still there. Please HELP!
THis is a problem as I’m afraid to create any more pages using the Avia Layout Builder for fear that the same problem will happen. I’ve seen many messages about this same issue, is there no clear solution or theme update that will fix it?
I have given you the login details, PLEASE have a look.
Thank you.
March 13, 2017 at 4:45 am #759804Hi,
You are getting a 404 error on a WordPress file, please see private. Please try contacting your hosting provider to see if they know why that file cannot be found. You could also try to overwrite the theme files with a fresh copy from your Themeforest account via FTP to see if that helps: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
Best regards,
RikardApril 25, 2017 at 12:19 am #782597My host was not able to reproduce this 404 error. Are you still seeing it?
I’ve updated the theme to the most current version today and the problem still persists. PLEASE HELP!
Thank you.April 25, 2017 at 12:30 pm #782805Hi,
I can’t see it now and your builder loads as it should on my end, so I’m guessing the problem is solved?
Best regards,
RikardMay 1, 2017 at 7:55 pm #785948Hi Rikard,
No, it’s not solved. :( It doesn’t happen on every page, just certain pages. I also tried to create a new page and it happened again.
The Testimonials page is the problem:
http://thecyclingco.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=891&action=editI tried to recreate the testimonials page and it happened again:
http://thecyclingco.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=4342&action=editMaybe it’s a problem with the testimonial blocks in the builder?
Please have another look. Thank you!
May 2, 2017 at 5:59 am #786139Hi,
Thanks for that, I get the same results as you describe. I created a test page though using the Testimonial element and I can’t see any problems there. Are you using any special code in the page where you are having problems?
Best regards,
RikardMay 3, 2017 at 10:50 pm #787458No fancy code. Just the elements straight from the menu area, then filling in the info. It works fine for a while and then after I fill in a few different testimonial boxes, it gives me the same problem. Very frustrating as I really like the simplicity of using the layout builder, especially for editing content.
The other page that does it is the Coming Soon page: http://thecyclingco.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=1248&action=edit
:( thanks for looking into it!
May 4, 2017 at 7:10 am #787617Hi,
Ok, thanks for the feedback. Could you try to activate debug mode in order to see builder shortcodes: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/enable-advanced-layout-builder-debug/, then simply copy/paste the shortcode into a new page to see if that helps?
Best regards,
RikardOctober 27, 2017 at 2:22 am #869368I am still struggling with this Avia Editor problem. Every page that uses the editor seems to have issues. I had a page that was fine, and then after editing it, now it gives me only a spinning wheel. I don’t understand! Please help! THanks!
October 29, 2017 at 8:40 pm #870203Hi,
I checked you editor and found
“Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found) /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php ”
But I see your host was not able to reproduce the error?
Does your host hard cache your site? Could they clear it?Best regards,
MikeJuly 15, 2019 at 9:12 pm #1118957I am also seeing the “Wheel of death” when trying to edit a page in the Avia Layout Builder.
I’ve cleared the cache.
I’ve updated WP, plugins, and the theme.
I deactivated plugins and reactivated them one at a time and saw no difference.
I tried copying the shortcodes in the debug section and pasting them onto a new page but the builder wouldn’t even open.
I do see this error every now and then:
“http_code’ in /home/laketoxa/public_html/wp-content/themes/enfold/framework/php/auto-updates/class-envato-protected-api.php on line 307”
and others like /class-pixelentity-theme-update.phpIt looks like many others have had issues with this builder as well. What should I do?
July 16, 2019 at 7:43 am #1119065Hi LakeTox,
Please open a new thread and include WordPress admin login details in private so that we can have a closer look at your site.
