Hi there-
I’ve checked the settings of the form, and don’t see anything weird –
both contact forms on a client website don’t show any text on input, and suddenly aren’t functioning correctly;:Is there something simple that I’m missing?

Please try updating to the latest version of the theme (3.8.5), to see if that helps: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
